I first moved to London about a decade ago, and popped into Harrods to get some makeup and a coffee in Laduree.

I was shocked at the disgusting way staff were treated there. I watched rich arab women literally elbow waitresses, who must’ve been so used to it they didn’t even bat an eyelid. I walked outside to see tacky cars speeding on the roads, and was pretty appalled.

Popped in again today for some stuff for dinner, and sad to report it’s just as tacky and classless as ever. Women with balloon lips, who shove in front of you or just don’t care about elbowing you out of the way. Not a “please”, “excuse Me” or “thank you” to be heard anywhere.

firmed up my belief that no one with an ounce of class would be caught dead in Harrods nowadays, especially after the Al Fayed allegations.

Once upon a time it would’ve been elegant and grand but it’s a capitalist hellhole now, filled with the dregs of London.

I wonder if they are paying her to promote their brand or it’s it part of her delusions of grandeur and non-Londoners who follow her just assume it’s a classy “old money” place?

I forgot she tried to make out that getting the Rolex was a whole exclusive and waitlisted process. That reference is super easy to find at retail and it’s easy to find secondary for even less than retail. It ain’t a GMT, Daytona, etc.

Her boyfriend gives me the biggest ick. I think it’s really concerning. Aside from the fact he seems to be incredible insecure and narcissistic…

his TikTok has gems like “she comes with a Hermes Kelly… she might make it past the third date”. I don’t think he’s even joking because it’s a sentiment that’s consistent on his socials. I.e. having luxury goods brings you up in his esteem.

then there’s the fact he’s clearly so, so desperate to be famous. Him and his brother. They dabble in blogs, modelling (apparently) vlogging, influencing, “buisness” (if you can call the nose strip thing a legit business), fitness and an ultimate goal of acting, apparently.

Specifically about their relationship, he posts about shopping for girlfriend(s) (gross, hoping its satire but not entirely sure? Imagine bragging openly about this, joking or not? How disrespectful and immature?)

He also claimed to have gone on 61 dates this year (uh huh) and only 2 second dates, which is a weird flex. I’m guessing he’s trying to subtlety tell everyone how in demand he is, but super selective? Instead it just looks like none of his first dates wanted him.

oh, and he has to specify he met his girlfriend at a black tie event (because he goes to black tie events guys in case you didn’t know). And she was a “situationship” first. Lovely. How respectful.

this man is the same age as my husband. I can’t imagine why a grown ass man is bragging about situationships while eyefucking himself in selfies, but I’m guessing that’s why he’s had to date someone a decade younger than him. Women his own age are done with this nonsense. People this insecure are draining to be around, but most folk grow out of it by the time they hit their 30s.

only an immature 23 yr old would think all of the above is fine and not being able to ski is the Ick.

like yeh. Of course. The lack of skiing is the ick.

nice grammar error in the post as well. Guess little miss business owner brain box can’t use a proof reader
This is so cringe! But I’m not fantastic when it comes to grammar so can you tell me what’s wrong with the wonder? I can’t figure it out 😂

Actually I think it’s my error and read the sentence wrong 🤣🤣 I’ll remove the photo haha

She did spell Porsche wrong repeatedly. Particularly enjoy her commenter who says “authenticity always wins”.

Looking forward to seeing Isobel pop up on LinkedIn lunatics…

Why does she never say who these supposed clients of Vior Social are?! Like, if you’re doing marketing for a brand why would they want you to be secretive about it? Why wouldn’t you announce or share names?

Our daily source of all things to giggle over. Mind you she will be getting brand collabs, so let's see if she gets more toilet paper promos.... She won't give up the other hussle yet, it's paying rent, and luxuries.
Yeh, like for sure, she’s an influencer and no doubt she gets paid to shill the likes of loo roll. She’s represented by an agency, like a lot of other influencers. Her content is similar to a lot of other influencer’s content.

but she presents Voir Social as being a marketing agency.

marketing agencies have exclusive rights/contracts for providing a service to their clients and develop a broader strategy that’s more than just one or two insta posts. Usually the client/brand dictate what they want and the marketing agency makes it happen.

if you look at established marketing agencies, they aren’t shy at all about who they’ve worked with and on what. Influencer marketing feels like a bit of a Wild West atm, so maybe Isobel is just faking it until she makes it.

but to me it honestly just looks a bit unhinged and deluded. Like sure girl, you’ve signed on three new clients without a working website.

Realistically, she’s using voir social Ltd as her own business account/Ltd company to channel her work she receives as an influencer, which again, isn’t uncommon. But being paid to post some champo hair oil, isn’t quite the same as working with them exclusively to create a brand strategy. She’s not outright lying when she calls them a client but she’s definitely misrepresenting the relationship slightly.

It’s kinda like her advent calendar campaign. She posted it as if her boyfriend was organically buying her this stuff and she was just sharing with her followers. In reality, a lot more planning and prep went into it than she let on. She admitted as much in her LinkedIn post. She likely either paid for these items herself, was gifted them or went on the beg from brands.

is it really a good marketing campaign? Who would go out and buy an Hermes twilly just because Isobel has one? Hermes are an established brand and showing off the twilly isn’t at all consistent with their own marketing approaches.

if you look at her LinkedIn post, her success is about her own branding. Gaining herself followers and engagement. How is that useful to a brand seeking to market itself, exactly?

those posts worked because they presented people with a fantasy they could engage in. A fantasy that they were opening the expensive gifts with Isabel, a fantasy that there was a great boyfriend spoiling his girlfriend. That’s why it worked.

she’s one of the most confusing and contradictory influencers out there. Nothing adds up at all.

great post 👏 it’s funny she promoted her LinkedIn post on insta because it basically showed the advent calendar was very planned and surely telling your audience this is going to make them feel a bit dumb (if they hadn’t already realised it was a bunch of lies).
the bit about the Porsche and mixing up days 24/25 seemed unhinged as well.

I used to like Isobel, but now it’s nothing but Birkins, logos, and bragging. I didn’t know there was a thread on her. Who goes skiing down the piste with a Birkin? Pathetic, to say the least. And no, Jane Birkin wouldn’t be proud; she’d be embarrassed.

it’s kinda ironic, Jane Birkin didn’t really like Birkin bags in the end. She felt that were too heavy and impractical.

people buy them because they want to use them as status symbol, which is of course the biggest sign you don’t have prestige or status. If you need to show off symbols.

Why does she buy her bags in the most boring colours??? Birkin in navy!?!? Kelly in black?????? Is it due to higher resell value or something?

I mean doesn’t everyone? you’re hardly gonna spend 12 grand on a bag that’s neon green, if you’re spending that much you obviously want it to match most other colours/outfits

Re sale value is also a massive factor, you will be able to sell the bag for much more if it is a neutral colour as it is more desirable. Common sense really.
