It’s also extremely draining emotionally to follow these trials and I think some people have to prioritise their own mental wellbeing. I’ve followed a lot on here over the years - Star, Arthur, Logan, the Letby trial, Sara, Preston and now little Isabelle. Reading about what was done to all of these poor children is devastating especially as a parent yourself with children a similar age to some. 💔

I don’t know because she did say the abuse was sadistic but said there was no evidence of a prior sexual interest in children. I just think this is one of the worst cases I have read about. HS must have started hurting Isabelle as soon as they got together. He showed total disregard for Isabelle’s humanity. I feel like he went into a house where a tiny girl was already being neglected and treated like crap so it was “anything goes”.

I always want to know what the fuck is lacking in these women's brains and basic commonsense safeguarding that makes it a good idea to bring an unrelated male into a small child's home?

What happened in their formative years to make them be so bloody stupid and expose their vulnerable children to some man they've known for a matter of days/weeks/months? It's not like it's a rare occurrence, it's well documented worldwide:

*A study published in the Journal of Pediatrics found that young children living in households with an unrelated adult are nearly 50 times more likely to die from an inflicted injury (such as being shaken or struck) than children living with two biological parents

*A multicenter study tracking children under four who presented to emergency departments with bruising found that a caregiver who was the mother's boyfriend had an odds ratio of 169.2 for child abuse versus accidental injury. This means the presence of a live-in boyfriend is the single highest correlation factor for non-accidental bruising compared to any other caregiver dynamic

*Classic sociological data published in Ethology and Sociobiology indicates that children are 40 times more likely to be step-biologically or sexually abused if a single parent introduces a new partner into the home compared to living with two biological parents.

The responsibility starts and ends with the perpetrators but what drives these mothers and what's gone wrong with society that has resulted in cases like this appearing in the news on a sickeningly regular basis?

I admit I’ve looked at his fb since people have mentioned it on here. The pictures he’s put up of her… she looks unkempt bless her and there’s not even a carpet down in a lot of them. If you saw that surely you would want someone checking up. But, and I do feel awful saying this, his posts, spelling, general vibe give the impression of someone who might not have found it unusual to see those conditions, and who would rather post about being the victim than actually doing something productive for her while she was alive. Again I don’t want to kick a man when he’s down but we’ve all come across people like that on SM and it adds to the list of people (professionals included) who stood by and did nothing in the face of countless red flags. He shouldn’t be in this position of being scrutinised because his daughter was murdered, she should still be alive and like any other man in that situation he should have had the chance to try and do right by Isabelle though I just don’t feel like he would have. Spoiler for another merail. I am probably biased against him because I have never forgiven my sons’ “dad” for walking away on the day when he had physically seen that I was a complete state of an alcoholic and didn’t ring the social or police or anyone at all. He just left his kids there because it was too much effort to get involved and was more interested in feeling sorry for himself.

I wonder was the cupboard punching to cover for any ”banging” sounds the neighbours might have heard, or was AW way too far gone to have that much forethought?
Personally I think she’s just a violent, drunk mess. If she’s thick enough to do all of this whilst her house is covered in CCTV, I can’t see how she’d have the braincells to try and pretend to cover her tracks.

If a random male moved into the same home as my grandchild, there's no way in hell I wouldn't be asking to know who he was. And if asking didn't work, I'd be demanding to know. In fact I would go round pronto to see what was going on.

If your child is “really not well” and “looks like she’s been abused” you take them to the A&E and actually do something about it. She’s either the thickest cunt on Earth or lying and I think we know it’s the latter. She’s trying to cover for herself and the scumbag boyfriend. I think they’re both guilty as sin in abusing Isabelle, I’d throw the book at the both of them.

There’s never a shred of intelligence to be found between these people it’s always the same in every one of these cases and always to the detriment of the children. 10 cans of Stella isn’t light work! It’s not a couple of beers to unwind with after a long day. Why did they not question why a young woman is requesting that in the first place? They then decided to enable it by buying it for her knowing she’s on her own with a little girl in her care. Then add a new boyfriend moved in that they’ve never met 😑 Madness.

With an unwell little girl in her daughter's care.

With an unwell little girl in her daughter's care who she's already commented on 'looks abused '.

With an unwell little girl, that looks abused, and knowing that her daughter has a new male in her life who's unwilling to meet her.

Someone asked why this case isn’t getting as much attention as Preston Davey’s. Personally I couldn’t bring myself to read the updates to begin with, as listening to Preston’s was hard enough. However I’ve just been reading through the updates on here (thanks to the poster who puts them on here, saves having to try and bypass the paywall) and I feel genuinely sick. I can’t even begin to comprehend what Isabelle went through. I really cannot find the words, it’s beyond heartbreaking.

And the worst thing is, after this trial is done and justice has been served, it’ll be on to the next. And the next. And the next. It just keeps happening and apparently the people who should learn from it don’t learn a thing 💔
I know there is another case coming up soon at Warwick court of a 1 year old girl with the charges being murder, cruelty, neglect, and sexual assault by penetration. I think both biological parents are charged with the father also being charged with possessing indecent images. There seem to be multiple cases now all all at once with pretty much similar charges.

I'm so sick to death of innocent children suffering at the hands of degenerate people who should never be able to own a plant, let alone have a child.

That poor child was either clearly dead the night before and that's why she hadn't woken or was just left to die in bed over hours in agony. Both of them need to go away for life and the Grandmother needs to be charged with something as well.

In his closing speech, prosecutor Richard Wright KC told jurors the couple were the "only two candidates" and there was "no doubt Isabelle was murdered".

The jury has heard Walker called 999 on 13 September, with paramedics finding Isabelle collapsed at the foot of the stairs without a pulse.
She died in hospital the following day.

Isabelle was found to have a fractured skull and catastrophic brain injury, Wright said, and there was "incontrovertible proof" she had been sexually assaulted.

She was "covered in bruises" and it was discovered she had suffered 21 broken bones including in both legs, her arm and "just about every vertebrae in her spine" in the weeks before her death, the court heard.

Walker began a relationship with Simpson last summer and "became a facilitator" of his "sexual abuse of her daughter", the prosecutor said.
Wright said a video on 7 June showed Isabelle as a "happy, healthy and mischievous two-year-old", but 99 days later she was dead.
"This was no accident," the prosecutor said, with her final fatal head injury akin to a multi-storey fall or a high-speed car crash.

He said Isabelle's plethora of injuries went back weeks showing it was not a case of "just one less of temper" from a "frazzled and exhausted parent who lashes out and regrets it".

It was a "persistent and wicked campaign of serious violence being done to a completely defenceless child", Wright said.

There was "no doubt Isabelle was murdered" as those "waging that campaign of violence against her" could only have been intending to harm her, the court heard.

"That little girl was murdered, sexually assaulted, subjected to cruelty and neglect," the prosecutor said, adding there were "only two candidates".

"The thing that changed, that set in train this calamitous decline from a happy healthy child to [a victim of] sexual abuse, gross and repetitive violence and murder was the introduction by Alexandra Walker into her life, and that of her child, of Harrison Simpson," Wright said.

Their relationship "created the conditions in which that little girl could be abused so terribly" and in a "final cruel and savage attack" be murdered, jurors were told.

Isabelle's world was "turned completely on its head" with the final weeks of her short life spent in pain, fear and "bewilderment", the prosecutor said.

Wright said the couple, who were cannabis dealers, were drinking and taking drugs the night Isabelle was fatally injured, and the attack "can only have happened when both of them were in that tiny house together".

Walker was an "attention-seeker" who "barely knew Simpson from Adam" but "decided the relationship was more important than the safety of her daughter", the jury heard.

He said it "must have been completely obvious from an early stage" Isabelle was being seriously injured but Walker delayed getting medical treatment to avoid having to answer questions.

Walker had expressed suspicions Simpson was sexually interested in her daughter, as evidenced by her searching online to see if was on a child abuse register, and yet she still left her two-year-old alone with him, the court heard.
There was also "good evidence" each of the two defendants had injured Isabelle in the weeks before her death, Wright said.

The "failure to intervene" and seek treatment for Isabelle's "obvious" injuries "demonstrates they were in this together", the prosecutor said.

When Walker did eventually take her daughter to doctors, she complained NHS staff "doing the job she should have been of protecting" Isabelle were unfairly persecuting her, the prosecutor said.

He also said Simpson's refusal to give evidence at the trial was "plain evidence he did murder Isabelle" and thought by remaining silent he "might just get away with he did".

Where is the outrage and horror for baby Isabelle that there’s been for Preston Davey? Is it compassion fatigue? There was thread after thread on here for Preston, and rightly so, yet this case which is almost identical in what’s been done to this poor baby has barely a few pages.

What makes some child murders so much more “important” for want of a better word and newsworthy than others? It’s so sad.
I think that a lot of the threads for Preston only speeded up after the verdict as media reporting on the case was limited up to that point (probably not to influence the case and also because the details were so distressing), so a lot of people only became aware of it after the verdict. It was also a long court case and this one has only just started.

The grandmother got shitty at the hospital when the medics were concerned about the broken leg & she didn’t want Isabelle to stay overnight - Grandmother obviously didn’t want social services involvement or anything that would have actually helped Isabelle escape the situation she was in.

Talked the talk slightly, but ultimately she didn’t give that much of a fuck about the baby & her being hurt, consciously averted her gaze from what was obviously happening & even enabled it by buying AW 10 cans of “Wife Beater” 🤷🏼‍♀️

21 broken bones. Abused for weeks. They both deserve to rot. I hope they never have anything that makes them smile or feel happiness again.

Isabelle's dads Facebook doesn't mention a word about her until she died. He sounds like an wasteman too. I don't imagine he was paying or providing for Isabelle.

So Isabelle had three separate sets of limb fractures and her spine had been fractured on two separate occasions. What the actual fuck was going on in that house?

Remind me how long HS and AW had been together?

It seems like Simpson abused her whilst Walker was wasted or out. It does seem like Walker loved her daughter but had an alcohol problem and a habit of choosing men that are not good people - which has now cost her, her daughters life and her life.

however I could be wrong, she could have participated in the abuse.
Today it’s looking like she knew he was a wrong ‘un with her checking the register.
Did she know / suspect he was abusing Isabelle is that what made her check , with her first suspicion he should have been out of the door .
You just don’t leave a child with a man you’ve only know a few weeks .
and DEFINITELY don’t let them bath them !

I don't understand as a mother you could let a man harm your baby or join in I'd have stabbed the sick bastard. However I wouldn't let a random man move into my house scumbags.

I think they really need to start clamping down and prosecuting anyone who turns a blatant blind eye. The grandma could have done something here and so could Preston daveys grandma. Make examples of them everyone has responsibility to keep a child safe
I agree.
Walker's mother and stepfather hadn't met the boyfriend and didn't know how much time he spent there. As far as they were concerned she lived alone with a small child. They helped her out with groceries and nappies etc - something most grandparents would do. However, they also bought her 10 cans of Stella - and even carried it into the house. Wouldn't you be asking questions about drinking around your granddaughter? Wouldn't you be concerned about boyfriends who didn't want to meet you?
It seems they did offer for her to go back and live with them but she refused.
As for Walker studying for a degree in forensics, it does not compute!
