Mate not every one is in to clubbing???? I’m 27 an it has never been my sort of thing! Been about 3 times and hated it! That’s not how you measure how good a 20s / teens you had. U could travel...or have tons of hobby’s... or just not do much at all... there’s loads of stuff way better than getting of your face every weekend. :) it also depends where u live too people close to town centres assume its normal to club so much where as people brought up round more country areas tend to do other stuff an less of that :) not judging anyone for what they do just saying it’s really not the bee all and end all! Xx

Do you think 25 is old? I still feel like a 16 year old. Although I take my responsibilities as an adult seriously, I am good to those around me, deep down, I still feel around 16/17. I didn't really go out partying or clubbing when I was 18/24. I do feel that my best years have passed me by without me enjoying them to the full. Only 15 years from 40 now. I know that I shouldn't be bothered about age, it's just a number and I will continue to live my life to the full. I am just curious what other people feel about being 25, I feel as though I should have spent the past 7 years out clubbing in Ibiza, Mykonos, Iyannapa.

What happens at 40? 🤔 You're very young, there is no sell by date for partying if that's what you want to do now. (Just don't do it during the pandemic!) You haven't signed a contract that binds you to fulfilling certain tasks at certain ages, your life is your own and 25 is quite young by pretty much every standard.

Its all relative. A 13 year old will think 25 is old whereas a 40 year old will think its young

I don't think OP was trying to be provocative, I think it was more that you spend your teens feeling like 25 is old and ages away from you and then all of a sudden you're 25. Also when you still feel like you're 18 in your mind, it can feel old when you think about your actual age.

I'm 24 and I have a similar complex 🤣

Sometimes I feel like I'm my age and that I've got my life together, and other days I still feel like I'm 18.

But I think it's cause I never did the clubbing thing either. I don't think I've actually been clubbing more than 10 times in my life, never had a relationship, still a virgin, still in the middle of my degree, still watch teen dramas etc.

I think your twenties is just such a weird age. You've got some people who are married, some with kids, some who still behave like 13 year olds at school. I suppose for me I feel like it's my fun/selfish years. I had anorexia and depression as a teenager and I didn't recover until I was 19/20. I think cause that robbed me of my teen years, I'm not in this weird stage of wanting to catch up on what I missed out on but also enjoying being an adult. I'm definitely the happiest I've ever been though.

I read a tweet once that said you twenties is like puberty 2.0 the psychological edition 🤣

(p.s that got real deep real quick... I'll see myself out 🤣)

i'm 26 and have really mixed feelings about being this age.

i look back on my life so far and i've had an amazing time, i went to uni and did all the stuff youngsters do and it was the best time of my life. however i REALLY miss that way of life now i have a full time job, and it makes me feel like i'm regressing and holding onto the past. from age 23 until now i feel like my zest for life and happiness has skyrocketed downhill. but in the grand scheme of things, i really am still so young, nobody really knows what they're doing or where they're going to be.

i still live with my parents but i have a full time job, albeit a bit of a "bottom of the pile" job and only bring in around £1400 a month, i have aspirations to be on 25k+ a year by the time i'm 30, but i understand this is probably not going to be feasible

i'll just keep plodding on and hope things will get better, but aging really scares me

I definitely agree with the comment that it’s a generational attitude. For my generation no one has really gotten married until late 20s early 30s - I got wed at 29 - and now I’m 32 and mostly my friends have just started having babies in the last couple of years. Whereas my mum was married at 21 and baby by 24, so I think we mature later in life now as so many people go to uni and put off settling down until much later.

I also agree that 30s can be your best years. More so for just feeling confident in your self and not as bothered about pleasing everyone. I’m worried about 35 though - I feel like that’s the age turning point and keep thinking lately I really need to mature!

As others have said it’s all relative.
People shouldn’t worry about getting old because it’s better than the alternative!

I hated my “milestone“ birthdays of 20 and 30 but after that, having lost friends who were way too young, I realised that they’d have given anything for a few extra years so I embraced my 40th and 50th.

Remember, ageing is a privilege denied to many.

Just turned 30. I’ve got over the pressure of feeling like I should be married with kids and a mortgage by this point in life. My life is nowhere near sorted or in that place. I do often find myself looking at other 30 year olds and thinking they are proper grown ups and then have a panic 😂 My career took a lot out of me during my 20s. I honestly feel really grateful I have made it to this point in life sometimes and try not to beat myself up about where I am compared with others. I’ll get there one day! I still get asked for ID sometimes and seem to be a magnet for men younger than me recently. After wasting the last few years of my 20s in a shitty relationship, I’m looking forward to the fun my 30s will bring when we can go out and interact with other humans properly 😁😂

I'll be 25 next year and I feel fairly young too. I often have to THINK about my age before I say it now as I have unintentionally told people I'm 21 when I'm bloody not. I feel like life has been a blur after uni and I stopped thinking about age.

I also didnt party or go clubbing much. I did most of that when I was 18 but it was like a once a month thing for the first 6 months of freshers. I dont feel like I've missed out on much but I'm very much a home body. If I'm away from my comfort space for more than 9 hours, I get the shakes 🤣. I think its important to just do you. I have so many friends who are all on such different paths to me. I have some who have absolutely no idea what they're doing in life and have no direction, I have those who are still clubbing and partying in a global pandemic, I have some working on the front line and I have some who are getting married and having babies.

I view my 20's as my years. My twenties are and will be all about myself. My career, my love for travelling, buying myself nice luxuries and just generally furthering myself. I know if I ever get married and have kids, I won't get to be this selfish ever again. Plus if youre on a good income, then go wild. Last year pre-pandemic, I went on 5 holidays. My goal is to visit as many places as humanly possible around my full time job before I'm 30.

I’m 27 (28 in Jan) and I’m looking forward to my 30s! I’ve wasted my 20s on men and my late 20s and 30s are going to be spent being selfish, forging my career and seeing more of the world - post Covid! So no, 25 isn’t old. You’ve got a lot left to live!
