Is 25 old?

Do you think 25 is old? I still feel like a 16 year old. Although I take my responsibilities as an adult seriously, I am good to those around me, deep down, I still feel around 16/17. I didn't really go out partying or clubbing when I was 18/24. I do feel that my best years have passed me by without me enjoying them to the full. Only 15 years from 40 now. I know that I shouldn't be bothered about age, it's just a number and I will continue to live my life to the full. I am just curious what other people feel about being 25, I feel as though I should have spent the past 7 years out clubbing in Ibiza, Mykonos, Iyannapa.

What happens at 40? 🤔 You're very young, there is no sell by date for partying if that's what you want to do now. (Just don't do it during the pandemic!) You haven't signed a contract that binds you to fulfilling certain tasks at certain ages, your life is your own and 25 is quite young by pretty much every standard.

25 is young. I’m 39 and still feel 18. That never stops no matter how old you get. Life gets in the way and responsibilities, but it never changes how old you feel inside

I’m 32 and still feel 16! I defo did some partying between the 16 and 25 but I’ve been with the same man since I was 18 and feel like I didn’t sow enough wild oats sometimes 🤣

Mate not every one is in to clubbing???? I’m 27 an it has never been my sort of thing! Been about 3 times and hated it! That’s not how you measure how good a 20s / teens you had. U could travel...or have tons of hobby’s... or just not do much at all... there’s loads of stuff way better than getting of your face every weekend. :) it also depends where u live too people close to town centres assume its normal to club so much where as people brought up round more country areas tend to do other stuff an less of that :) not judging anyone for what they do just saying it’s really not the bee all and end all! Xx

I'll be 25 next year and I feel fairly young too. I often have to THINK about my age before I say it now as I have unintentionally told people I'm 21 when I'm bloody not. I feel like life has been a blur after uni and I stopped thinking about age.

I also didnt party or go clubbing much. I did most of that when I was 18 but it was like a once a month thing for the first 6 months of freshers. I dont feel like I've missed out on much but I'm very much a home body. If I'm away from my comfort space for more than 9 hours, I get the shakes 🤣. I think its important to just do you. I have so many friends who are all on such different paths to me. I have some who have absolutely no idea what they're doing in life and have no direction, I have those who are still clubbing and partying in a global pandemic, I have some working on the front line and I have some who are getting married and having babies.

I view my 20's as my years. My twenties are and will be all about myself. My career, my love for travelling, buying myself nice luxuries and just generally furthering myself. I know if I ever get married and have kids, I won't get to be this selfish ever again. Plus if youre on a good income, then go wild. Last year pre-pandemic, I went on 5 holidays. My goal is to visit as many places as humanly possible around my full time job before I'm 30.

I'm 24 and I have a similar complex 🤣

Sometimes I feel like I'm my age and that I've got my life together, and other days I still feel like I'm 18.

But I think it's cause I never did the clubbing thing either. I don't think I've actually been clubbing more than 10 times in my life, never had a relationship, still a virgin, still in the middle of my degree, still watch teen dramas etc.

I think your twenties is just such a weird age. You've got some people who are married, some with kids, some who still behave like 13 year olds at school. I suppose for me I feel like it's my fun/selfish years. I had anorexia and depression as a teenager and I didn't recover until I was 19/20. I think cause that robbed me of my teen years, I'm not in this weird stage of wanting to catch up on what I missed out on but also enjoying being an adult. I'm definitely the happiest I've ever been though.

I read a tweet once that said you twenties is like puberty 2.0 the psychological edition 🤣

(p.s that got real deep real quick... I'll see myself out 🤣)

No, not at all! I wonder if it’s a generational thing sometimes because I remember being a child and staying at my aunt and uncles house who would have been around 25 at the time and they just seemed so grown up compared to me now, almost a decade older 😬🤔

Gosh I hope not as I’m turning 28 next year!

but no, I really don’t think 25 is old at all. The world is still pretty much your oyster.

Its all relative. A 13 year old will think 25 is old whereas a 40 year old will think its young
