I was absolutely flabbergasted, she actually posted a story that made me think she was someone doing something interesting.

And then the next story was this, and the spell was broken:

Oh my GOD I’m dead. witch did not just try and play guitar. Is Alex the husband dead? Did he quit as “dead weight emo wannabe”? Did Vic actually look at her engagement numbers? Because they are baddd, bad. Then again most social media teams for major companies are data illiterate so they likely never looked at actual engagement and just her overall following. Which is just pure incompetence and what happens when you lay off a real marketing team to try and cut costs: you have a bunch of 21 year old idiots who use ChatGPT.

Or you charge them in another room and use them in the bathroom.

We tend not to like electricity and water here.
So I studied abroad in London back in 2008, when I never did my hair, shared a 2 bedroom, 1 bath flat with 4 others and we were all in college/uni trying to get to class and then internships and no one cared about makeup or beauty routines except maybe to add an extra 10 mins before going to the club or on a date. But can someone explain why you have no sink space and your showers have 1/3 a door? Half of all water I used ended up on the floor. And I know, our public bathrooms (in the US) are disgusting and have cracks in them the width of a bloody arm (there is no reasoning except it’s cheaper), but why barely a shower door??

We don't do our hair in bathrooms. Or makeup for many people. Tends to be at a dressing table.
Where do y’all have room for dressing tables?? I wish I was Elizabeth Taylor but seems very dirty to have in your bedroom and bathrooms in the UK tend to be tiny unless you’re rich or in a hotel room. We have much larger bathrooms in the US, but not dressing room big (on average).

I don’t understand.
We also don’t all have one standard shower door in the UK.

A dressing table is just where you blow dry/style your hair and do skincare or put on make-up, unless you're Vic it's not necessarily in a dressing room or where you dress. There isn't anything dirty about it. Our house is tiny so mine is either my desk or sometimes I end up sat on the floor in front of a mirror to do it.

Dressing tables are normally in the bedroom. I'm not sure how that would be dirty. I don't know anyone who does hair and makeup in the bathroom.

I about died when I saw this too. So cringe and no mention of knowing how to play the guitar ever that I can recall. Bet she took a photo of herself and told chat gpt to make it look like she was playing a guitar 😆

It was a video, certainly looked and sounded like she was playing. She's has mentioned it before and has posted to stories before.

I actually liked it, it felt like one of the few things she's ever posted where she was doing what resembled a hobby, that wasn't an ad and which, if I was in any way musical, I might do myself on a weekend. It's a shame she's dropped anything that might resemble a personality in favour of an aesthetic.

I criticise a lot on here but I'm also very willing to admit when she does something that at least I feel is better than her usual content (noting of course that the bar is low).

OH I've never heard her talk about playing the guitar and I've been watching for a while. I saw the video and I guess I just feel her postings are so cringy most of the time the past year or so, and this felt just off to me too. NO shade to anyone playing the guitar but I felt like it was just as cringy as her showing herself working out and singing so loudly lol

I’m just thinking about foundation and fallout from eyeshadow palettes and such getting everywhere and not having a sink nearby to clean it up. Or if you’re taking off your makeup and need to wash your face or use eye makeup remover and you want to wash your hands after.

I have my dressing table in the bedroom as I like to sit down while doing my skincare and makeup. Plus we only have one bathroom and both my husband and I need to get ready for work at the same time.

I've never dropped foundation or other makeup on the floor (carpet) so it's never been an issue. Plus the bathroom is about 15 steps from the bedroom so no issues about washing hands at all.

We take our makeup off in the bathroom - cleanser and cloths live by the toothpaste etc usually.

As for powder makeup going on the dressing table, you just use cleaning spray the same as any other surfaces. It's not an issue.

No video this week because she is just TOO busy. But like, isn't this her job? If I were to guess at what we're missing, she unboxed free PR, smeared a new skincare brand that's the most luxurious and innovative ever, smothered her face in makeup, played dress up in the closet, talked with her mouth full of food while telling us all about the evils of food and then had a good cry on the Peleton..

I think the current state of the World is breaking me, and I honestly need to take a break from Social Media - especially toxic influencers who pretend that everything is fine.
