Anybody seen it / been to see it? Was released last Wednesday.
Lovely to see Harrison Ford although the digitally de-aged version of him for the first part of the film is a bit freaky.
Fleabag was quite good as his sidekick. A few other familiar old faces thrown in for good measure.
The story was utter bullshit, especially the ending - not to give too much away but it reminded me of Bill and Ted when they go visit various figures from history, or a crap episode of modern Doctor Who.
Some good action sequences, although like so many movies these days it was hard to see what was going on in those sequences at times, and then it seems lazy, all of a sudden a certain useful prop is magically in his hands or he has magically moved a few feet over to safety without much in the way of visual explanation as to how it happened. Also the opening scenes feature a train, and I don't know quite how many carriages are on the train, but it never seemed to end.
Could have done with a better editor, a lot of people were just scrolling on their phones at times.
The cinematography of 1969 New York and Morocco was beautiful, apparently all the New York street scenes were filmed in Glasgow pre-covid. Indoor shooting was at Pinewood and lots of filming at other locations in Scotland and on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, so nice to know we can still make these blockbusters in this country.
Loved hearing the classic theme tune fully orchestrated and fully blared out for the end credits.
