I thought he would be killed, because he was a high profile prisoner, rather than because of the nature of his crimes to be honest. When I got the news he'd been killed, it was a shock but not unexpected, if that makes sense.

Yeah I thought the same, not even that he was a celebrity just his whole attitude. He seemed quite entitled and full of himself. I'd imagine that would have pissed a lot of the other prisoners off. Unfortunately I don't think the hunters are right,I doubt he'll definitely get a prison sentence even though he should. It's absolutely disgusting these perverts get suspended sentences in the first place. I am not saying theft is okay but when money or theft is involved in a crime you're pretty much guaranteed to get one. I think I'd rather see a shoplifter whos robbed a bit of cheese and wash powder than these vile creatures.

I agree, he absolutely should have been jailed the first time, the stuff he was saying to what he thought was a child was absolutely disgusting. And the fact he thought any child would want a picture of his naked flabby middle aged body just shows how sick his mind is. Ugh, makes me absolutely sick!!

I was a fan of them prior and don’t listen to their music today. But I can understand why people have started listening again, he’s dead, he will receive no royalties. Most of their best music was before his offending, he was t-total until 2007.

I’ve just been on her Twitter and in Dec 2013 she posted an article in the DM about “a fan in her 20s” who IW begged to abuse her 10 year old daughter and offered to DJ at her party if he could sleep with her. Further down the article it matches JM’s story (meeting and asking for tickets etc) and refers to her as Ms Majic at the end of the article.

Again, her story makes no sense - she says they exchanged texts in 2010 where he said to get her pregnant to abuse the baby and in 2011 he said awful things about wanting to abuse her daughter?? If this true - why didn’t she stop speaking to him in 2010 once he mentioned getting her pregnant and shop him in then?

She knew what he was and went along with it.

Peadophile hunters don’t lure them with images of children as that would be a crime. They use decoys pretending to be children and wait for the offender to initiate conversation.
The ones that make (download) indecent images will buy or swap their own with likeminded people on dark web or even telegram. Or they make their own using pictures of children usually on social media and manipulating images to look like CSA. Offenders are known to collect and store vast amounts of material. Which unless for financial gain I’ve always found odd as they incriminate themselves when caught. Watkins had 5TB of indecent images on his devices.

It’s the exact same dynamic that was happening between him and his fans before he was arrested. Not surprised in the slightest. I don’t condone his murder but I’m so glad he cannot do this to anyone else inside or outside of prison.

If it was his child, would that not have been taken into account during the trial though? Would the police not have established his true relationship to him? If so, and it was proved that he was the biological father, would this have been banned from being reported on for the sake of the child?

I read that they originally 'split up' (if they were 'together' in the traditional sense and not just sleeping with each other) because she got pregnant by another man.

DNA test wouldn’t have been conducted as not in the best interests of the child as could cause further harm. Father has remained ‘unknown’ on birth certificate, and rightly so if it is Watkins. Yes, reporting rights would be different if Watkins was on BC to protect anonymity of the child, like the two women that were convicted alongside him.

That again I could never get any sense from anyone when I was in contact with exgate so fuck knows. I also have no idea what stuff my ex kept ‘cause she was the one that put ZJ and ZJ’s stone when declogged, or 2 months after I first locked up or remand. How’s that for a fuck ya? God I had a look at that thread again and forgot those girls/women commenting were really quite unhinged and obsessive over him. I think when I first read it I was shocked about what they knew, but what stands out now is how he was cultivating these inappropriate relationships with fans. Although, reading it, I think woman A and Joanne are both in that thread, probably with multiple socks. It sounds like every woman he was linked to was probably being harassed by a group of core obsessive fans

I think there's also the 'bystander effect' in all of this - as in, 'with so many women wanting him, how could he be wrong?'

I think it was probably a big part of how they justified what he was asking of them. The idea that he can't really be a monster if so many women are interested - that he must be liked for a reason, that if he was truly evil surely everyone would see it, etc. And he played that up by flittering his attention around between them and driving up that jealousy constantly. Joanne I think is the biggest case of this obsession-by-denial. I personally think she's still very much under his spell, even now.

It’s true. She is the one that went straight to the papers when he died, claiming she had tried to cut him off a few times and was manipulated by him. That’s his prison number too, the same one in the sample she sent the papers.
