I suspect she’s got to the US and realised she ain’t going to bringing her kids there full time til they are of an age when they can consent aka 16 and that Dad has balls and good legal backing.

International custody battles are not cheap, even if she has got a team of women around her…

It does not seem like the nanny is employed to provide Bethie with emotional support rather than to necessarily look after the kids. It gives me Alice Evans and Gloria vibes.

Is anyone else confused by how a nanny finances constant lavish holidays?

There was a picture of her in the Mail Online. It really does seem like she might have been the ringleader here but she stepped back so friend Tetyana could give more publicity on her behalf.

She has kindly put up new insta stories to remind me what else is so intolerable.

She gets really distracted on her stories. This means they drag on for a very long time.

Yeah exactly. I can’t see any judge wanting to uproot them from their current home. I think she’s totally shot herself in the foot with this one. I know someone who fled domestic violence and left her kids behind and she lost custody of them and she stayed in the same frigging country as her kids!

Why would they? The test will be what is in the children's best interests (not whether Bethy is happier there making crappy podcasts with Rossipes or whatever his name is). How is it in the children's best interests to be removed from school, put in an entirely different school system on a small island where there will be limited other options if that school doesn't work out. Taken away from friends, only be able to see their father on limited ocassions. The father that their mother has hinted on social media is an "abuser"? So how can there be a reassurance that Bethy will be facilitating that relationship with their father if she is saying that? I think the father can have reasonable concerns that if they go for holidays in future, they may not be returned. Bethy could well find herself being curtailed to seeing them in the UK for the forseeable

I wouldn’t wish a long court battle on anyone, nor want to put kids through it. I also sympathise with someone living in a country they’re not totally happy in. But all this seems to be another manifestation of Bethie’s impulsive behaviour and her continued lack of understanding that the world won’t just bend to meet you. She could have waited another few years, her kids would be well into their teens (even waited till they were done with school) and moved back. She just didn’t want to, but the result is a lot of upset and sadness for her own children.

We don't know what her mental health was/is like, but if there were any way to delay this should definitely should have. She had a 3-bed house in a good area. She probably could have claimed benefits to help with the rent if needed. She could have negotiated with her ex to let her take the kids for summer break in the US to tide her over until they were of age.

Going with the nuclear option is going to financially ruin her unless she has some inheritance or rich parent we don't know about.

Yeah, just to clarify though, no one had said anything about her kids. Someone had actually made a comment about Clemmie Telfords and later on HM’s ‘friend’ came onto MN to say Bethie had been in tears about it. No one, and I repeat NO ONE had even mentioned Hungermama at that point, let alone her children.

Did anyone feel sorry for her when she posted that picture of her in a clinic waiting for a colposcopy? I’ve had that procedure after an abnormal smear and everything turned out fine. It’s great to raise the profile of these things but not while you are standing in front of a mirror giving the peace sign. We are lucky in this country to be able to get free smears, free condoms and free birth control amongst other things. She should have mentioned that.

So she’s posted that she is flying to California next week to see her friend Ross, whose mother recently died. California has just been put back into lockdown. and then she has to isolate when she returns. Not visiting her parents, only Ross. She’s nuts.

I also think a big part of this for her is that she romanticises her life in the US: before her husband, before kids, an 80s/90s childhood nostalgia as someone who had only ever known their town, which would be soooo different from uprooting her London kids and putting them in a situation where not only is everything new, they would very clearly stand out as different. What she wants for them in this proposed move doesn’t exist.

The whole thing was very weird.

Firstly dashing into help this woman and asking for donations.

Then after a bit, doing a complete U turn and announcing that you shouldn’t check in on friends or ask after their mental health because it can be burdensome.

If I was her ex I would be so embarrassed with the constant airing of issues in public, especially the semi frequent references to him being abusive.

In fairness my husband manages our household bills and I’m quite happy with that as it’s a quite boring job
I don’t have an “allowance” though, wonder what that’s all about!

I know a few stay at home mums who have an allowance, it's less of a controlling thing, more of a sensible budget for coffee, kids days out etc. I don't work atm don't have an allowance and we have a joint account and share everything but then I'm not a big spender. My sister does have an allowance. An outside observer might see it as a bit controlling, in fact she cannot manage money at all, can't stop spending and as she has no income at all her husband transfers a generous amount to her account every month so she can't just keep going and going and spend all the money he earns

I think hungermama was being really naughty there, inviting speculation that the ex was abusing her.

She's so odd - I think she is the very definition of 'fake it until you make it' but sadly for her, I can't ever see her making it.

She's lowered the price to £350 (originally £1400). I seriously wouldn't pay more than a £100 for that second hand and it would need to be in pristine condition.

Do we even know if it was a permanent job, could just have been fixed term. It just baffles me as she's clearly bright enough. Why doesn't she teach singing? She acts as though making money is the hardest thing in the world and yet doesn't seem to actually be trying to get anything. Is she still doing this part time job? That's gone a bit quiet hasn't it?

She’s posting again, having been on holiday with her nanny in Paris. She said she had a panic attack on the floor of a toilet in Paris and the nanny helped her. She’s not happy because she’s unemployed without a plan. I was wondering if she was in a relationship with the nanny as she’s alway leaving on her posts.

I don’t get how shortly after a huge panic attack she decided to leave the hotel, go outside, stand under the Eiffel Tower, pose for a photo and get her nanny to take one.

She did recently have a job because she kept posting all her outfits and that she was cycling to work in clogs - did that job not last?

I am getting the vibe she might be one of those people you hire and shortly there after it becomes apparent they are not up to the task and always cause minor dramas.

nail on head! Been following this one for a while now. There's always a drama! She definitely can't handle being employed. She is full of self-importance and obviously likes the finer things in life! I feel like reality has hit for her lately.
