How often do you and your partner text?

My bf and I live about an hour away from each other and see each other for a few days every 2/3 weeks (sometimes longer during exams/work commitments). We text/FaceTime/send memes on Instagram often through the day.

We usually have a reserved time for us, so we do all our work/studying in the day and at night we watch a movie together (streaming at the same time), or FaceTime for a while..however during lockdown we have been speaking a lot more frequently

We never text as we work for the same company so pre covid would see each other at lunchtime and now we’re WFH so he’s in the next room...I just shout . I text friends all day every day though in various group chats or private. I never ever make calls

Together 7 years and lived together for 3/4 years - when we were both working in our respective offices we would text maybe once or twice, something like “how’s your day going” or usually just to ask the other a question like did you remember to take the bins out. Now we’re home together most of the time we don’t text much except to sometimes send a funny meme or if one of us goes to the shop.
Before we moved in together it was a lot more, I think when we were first dating we pretty much used to have a constant text “conversation” going.

I work days (pt) my bloke does nights (ft)
I might text things like’do we need milk?’ Or ‘what do you fancy for dinner?’
if I know he’ll be up I’ll ring just to check in but that’s not every time
i just want to eat my lunch and have a quick fag-he’s not fussed if I ring or not

oh and I might text to say ‘lend my son £20 til Tuesday’ about once a fortnight-or ‘come pick me up from town’ if I’m feeling lazy after meeting friends in town

other than that we don’t bother

never, not unless its something very important, and if it was i would make my husband ring me back. I like the time to myself when my husbands at work , and he likes having no interruptions too. Im not keen on having a phone at all really, i only have it in case of emergency and never take it anywhere with me.

Pre-covid, we'd text during the day when we're at work a few times. Now we don't really text at all as we both are at home. Sometimes I'll send him asking for something or whatever if I'm being lazy and can't be arsed to go downstairs to ask .

We're in a few group chats together so we text in that but not directly messaging each other.

We're always throwing each other messages when we're not together. Sometimes it might just be a funny picture or something but often we just chatter away unless one of us is specifically hush with something.
