We don’t text each other during the day unless it’s to tell each other something like “get some milk at the shop before you come home” 😂

Not that often. If I'm having a shit day at work or see something funny I might text him. I'll sometimes text to ask how his day is going or he will text me to ask how I am but it's not a regular thing. Also romantic things such as we need bread, have you seen my item etc. Though occasionally I do get a "love you" which makes me smile

A guy he used to work with would have three calls a day. What the hell do they talk about at home?

Just looked... the last text I sent him was 4 weeks ago asking him to turn the oven on. Romance isn’t dead ladies 😂

Rarely. Last time I texted my husband was Tuesday and that was to ask him to pick up something for dinner. Before that it was Friday 23rd October 🤣

We WhatsApp a lot throughout the day. Either practical things or silly things etc. Always have! Been together 15 years. I don't think there's a right or wrong amount xx

Never. Unless it’s to give instructions. We don’t call each other either.

my friends husband calls her numerous times if we are out for dinner or drinks. Just fucking odd behaviour if you ask me.

We’re married and live together, we only text if we need to tell each other something or remind each other of things, especially with the kids. We used to text all the time back in the early days but it’s rare now. Like you said, we’d run out of things to talk about.

We live together, text everyday, starts with a good morning and just chit chat when we’re free in between work, how’s your day going etc or if something funny has happened. Lots to talk about when we get home. My partner worked away until September so I think that contributes, we went 4 years talking whilst at work so we’ve carried it on. Not as much as previously but enough

We don't live together but I text him once a day in the week to let him know I've got to work safely. Bless him, if I don't he panics I've been kidnapped by 👽👽 👽 or something! Other than that, never, unless it's something urgent or just something I've forgotten to tell him to do.

My partner and I live together and have been together five and a half years. Pre Covid when we were both working full time in separate offices we would still text each other throughout the day, not loads, but just every so often.
Now because we are both home all the time obviously we don’t generally text each other because we are in the same house in the next room, although if he’s on a call I might text him if I need to ask him a question.
We don’t feel we run out of things to talk about, even now that we are home all the time, we are quite a talkative couple with each other, although with that being said we don’t mind silences, we’ve been together a long time so silences aren’t awkward between us. We just enjoy each other’s company. :)

My other half and I have been together 7 years, we text all the time if we're not together. We both work full time so inevitably sometimes it will take either of us an hour or two to reply, but generally we're always speaking. I just like speaking to him 🤷‍♀️. Generally the conversation will be moaning about work, or just talking about work in general, talking about what's happened in the day, currently the main topic is what we think is going to happen next in Prison Break as we're bothy hooked haha! it's nothing to do with insecurity either, for example our texts aren't "what you doing" all the time etc, we just don't run out of things to talk about :ROFLMAO:

So refreshing that people are like my husband and I and don't text! I use to get a bit upset when we were first together and I'd never hear from him, over that now!

Normally, day to day, we don't text at all. If we do, it's something practical to do with meals, or funny GIFs / memes 😂😂 Just looked back and the last thing he sent me was GEORGIAS SWUNG and the last thing I sent him was a funny Trump video.

My 'workwife' texts her husband all day and will ring him on her lunch break. No idea what they talk about!

My g/f live separately but we generally text first thing of a morning for "wake up calls", then again at lunch, and perhaps of an evening just to make sure we've both returned from work okay. We then might Skype just before bedtime.

Here and there during the day as needed (married 9 years, 3 kids)

Usually me saying “BUY SNACKS!” Or “I’m gonna kill one of these kids” 🤣

We rarely phone one another. Even if one of us is away overnight for whatever reason, we still wouldn’t call. Whereas my sister and her husband regularly call one another 2-3 times a day.

God I’m really in the minority. Married and been with my husband for nearly 4 years. We text during the day as and when he’s able to ( im furloughed )! I’m a big texter (I use WhatsApp) and prefer it over phone calls.

you sound like me !
I just hate any form of OTTness in a relationship. Completely each to their own but if my husband sent me a lovey text I’d just cringe for him. Or if he tried to call me baby or princess or anything like that 🤢

We’ve been together 9 years, married for 4, have a kid and a dog, and are very happy. But we understand neither of us is a romantic and we’re not a co-dependant couple. Both very self sufficient and independent.

We’ve been together almost 9 years... lived together for 8. Pre-covid we’d occasionally text during the day for questions, instructions for dinner etc. Now he works upstairs and I work in the kitchen, so we text quite often but mostly “are you on video, I need a cup of tea” and “look what the silly kitten is up to”
