My sister gave me and my husband one for Christmas in 2019 after me saying the hot chocolate she made me in hers was beautiful. It is beautiful hot chocolate but I do feel it’s expensive for what it is and I find the hot chocolate sachets expensive too. I know you can make other things with it but still. I feel awful but ours spends most of its time in the cupboard as we’re not massive hot chocolate fans so it’s a bit of a waste on us, A positive note though it’s an absolute breeze to clean.
Omg defo going to make an iced coffee in it 
I like the look of this but it’s waaay too expensive for me. Does anyone know if one of these hand held whisks would do a similar job?

I've been on the fence about buying one. One thing that's held me back are the reviews saying it doesn't make them hot enough.

The temperature is perfect imo! You can drink it straight away but it’s still hot
Sorry bit OT but where do you buy the barista version of the alpro coconut?? It's my fave milk for coffees but can never see the barista version in the shops! The other version is not as good, way too watery.It is honestly sooooooo worth it! It makes nut milks taste soooo good. I always warmed nut/oat milks for coffees/hot chocs before and they never tasted good but they work so well in the velvetiser! Coconut milk is a personal favethe alpro coconut barista is amazing in it. Low cal too!
it’s also very handy to clean which I think is a huge bonus! Literally fill to the Max line, add 2 drops of fairy liquid and turn it on and it self cleans!!!
you can also use for coffees as above user said so could use all year roundfrothy iced coffees in summer
. Was going to buy myself a small coffee machine, but I only drink hot chocolate so wondering if this might be better....I have one of these but they don't froth the milk. I heated milk in a pan and used that and it barely makes bubbles. It does mix powder well so no lumps thoughI like the look of this but it’s waaay too expensive for me. Does anyone know if one of these hand held whisks would do a similar job?

Check ebay for these hotel chocolate velvetisers. I had a quick look and they are more cheaper than the official website

Really?! I often have to leave it to cool down tbh, I find it gets very hot!
i used to get it on Amazon in bulk as couldn’t get it in the shops! But now Tesco stock it
and it’s much cheaper than buying it on Amazon

We got gifted one a couple of years back. They are good to be fair, but not sure if I’d buy one for myself especially for the cost. It’s very convenient and they’re easy to clean. The sachets are hit and miss for me, I dunno I just find them a bit too rich/bitter apart from the salted caramel and choc orange ones which are nice but a bit sickly to me. I don’t think I have fancy enough tastes for them tbh
I’ve used bog standard hot chocolate powder in it and it turns out fine. I don’t see why you couldn’t make a coffee in there too if you wanted. Also find the temperature is fine, it’s hot but not scalding. As someone who doesn’t drink many hot drinks, I always have to leave mine to cool for a few minutes before I start drinking.
It doesn’t get used daily but it gets used a whole lot more than the Tassimo which we only used for hot chocolate anyway as well as taking up less space on the side. It makes the process of making a hot chocolate seem so convenient. Chuck everything in, press a button and wait a couple of minutes.

I got one of these for Christmas off my hubby, as hotel chocolat were out of stock. He got me the sachets from hotel chocolat and I must say, it makes a banging hot chocolate.
If you do get one I’d recommend getting the pouches of hot choc rather than the sachets! The sachets contain soooo much and can make them taste very strong! With the pouches you can use less and make them to your taste
also if you have a preferred or fave chocolate you can just grate it and pop it into the velvetiser... so if you wanted a galaxy hot choc just grate some galaxy in

I bought those chocolate biscuits in the tin which were in the tv programme I think £15 so not cheap and you only got 8 but we love hotel chocolat so thought we would treat ourselves but they were so stale. I got in contact and they gave me a refund and said they have an issue with packaging that they are aware off and trying to amend. Fair enough. But they are still selling them!! They know that product is stale and there’s an issue but happy to keep selling them it’s not right.

It’s 100% worth it. V convenient and easy to clean. Always find the choc hot enough. Copper is v pretty in real life and delighted I bought it
This is the best hot chocolate in the world. I don’t buy it from Amazon as it is rather expensive. But I usually get it from France or when my mum goes over. Which hasn’t been for three years but the tub lasts ages. So I probably would buy it from Amazon when I run out. I bloody love it
