It really upsets and angers me to know that people like this make the general public suspicious of everyone. There are very genuine people out there who do need to raise money to save a child’s life and they don’t have endless time. They are affected by this too! People will be less likely to donate money.
While I don’t believe H is “running out of time” in the sense of having been given timescales, it is clear his life expectancy will very sadly be shorter than an otherwise healthy teenager. The problem was asking for £2m and saying “running out of time”. If they’d expressed he needs surgery for quality of life and asked for smaller amount, this wouldn’t even be on most people’s radar!

Apparently neither have never worked a day in their lives. Even with the money in the GFM, as they’re the beneficiaries, UC should be informed about it I believe, and their claim stopped as it’s classed as “savings.”
just benefit wise they will be getting a big chunk of money and also there are charitys for children and families that can be very generously surely cant still be claiming uc as your only allowed 16k tops and anything between 6-16k money is taken of
so if you have a go fund running with 100k still in it is it classed as income?
