Some of these "celebrities" like Fearne COtton and her ilk being very priggish about this lockdown, she has plenty of time to home school her kids as she has plenty of cash in the bank not to worry about having to go to work or pay the mortgage. She goes for a run apparently before the kids wake up and then does Yoga while they eat breakfast followed by schooling and she went and did shopping for an elderly neighbour, gosh!!! Wonder what her cleaning lady is up to? She must miss the wage?

Uniforms..sod that . Mine are in comfy clothes and nope I'm not ironing shorts & t-shirts..no one is gonna see .

Tried doing school work but it ended in tears and so did my daughter to. I have a 12 year old, 2 year old and 3 week old. So yeah.... not happening

Thank you love this thread! Another one here, both key workers, working from home full time. Whilst attempt to hone school a 6 year old and stay sane with a terrible toddler!

Been really disappointed in school only been set a couple of apps and left to our devices, get daily messages about making shit like homemade play doh if your bored I wish I could be bored!!!!

Today I’ve seen people putting their kids in their uniform for ‘home school’. On the one hand I might help some kids focus and fair enough, on the other hand it’s a load of nonsense.

It does seem to bring out all the dickheads though. I’ve just seen an insta-mum (won’t name her as I suspect she’s private but she did have her own thread at one point) say she’s ‘fuming’ she won’t get free lunch vouchers for her kids as she’s not on benefits. Unbelievable!

I’m not taking it too seriously and I’m fairly happy as long as my son (5) does some reading and writing etc per day. He’s done loads of colouring and drawing and playing in the garden and that’s good enough for me!

I think people are getting mixed up with this as my husband questioned it. Free school meals is a different category to the blanket reception to year 2 free school meal. Was husband was trying to get me to apply!!!!

I'm curious, is everyone actually home schooling their children? Some are taking it so seriously... I on the other hand just care about them being happy / exploring whatever sparks their interests.

I saw this on facebook, but the child in question is autistic and needed to have home exactly like school because of the routine. Sometimes it's what's best for the child

I try to encourage mine to get dressed every day, just not in uniform lol. Home clothes are much more comfortable anyway. A lot of countries don’t even have a school uniform.
