It’s because these days everything has to be so watered down so when there’s something graphic some people are quite taken back or shocked or don’t know how to be I think the Hollyoaks crossover with brookside Worked fantastic

I thought the later episode was absolutely carried by the older cast. Louis Emerick and Jamie Lomas were incredible. It would have been dogs*it without them. Esp Louis.
Not strictly relevant but my nanna was from liverpool born and bred. She spoke with quite a neutral accent unless she was gosssiping with extended fam. My point actually was more though that old Gemma had a strong Liverpudlian accent and Tisha sounds exactly the same as she did in Coronation Street and real life with her Lancashire accent
