Also not been watching but I think I saw her on Instagram say that she's filming an updates video which will presumably cover it?
I wonder whether she actually wants to do an MA or she just doesn't know what else to do with herself... She's flip-flopped so much

I does feel like there isn't much passion behind it. She's staring up her own tutoring business, and I bet she wants to do it alongside a masters to show off how busy she can be (and to distract herself from relaxing for once).

I used to watch pretty much all of Holly's videos but I've found myself skipping a lot of recent ones because they're ALL "productive day in my life" videos. Snooze.

I think she’s not passionate enough about the subject, she seems to care more about productivity and the act of studying rather than the content. I’m in my second year at uni and know what I want to do for a masters. Not that you have to know straight away but I think holly isn’t really in love with the subject enough to take it further at MA level

She's going to have a nasty shock at the change from undergrad to master's level if she doesn't truly want to do it

Sad thing with Holly is knowing her she’ll work through it anyway because as someone said, she likes the act of being productive and working. Getting a masters would just be a biproduct.... an expensive biproduct.

I'm late to contribute here, but I'm pretty sure veganism is used by a good few people with EDs to hide the fact they're restricting. Not saying that's what's happening with Holly, but to say that cutting out meat/dairy/eggs isn't restrictive I'm not sure is a fair thing to say. Only reason I would say it is it's exactly why I went vegan all those years ago. Food for thought.
sorry i’m late to the party but when i was in recovery i wasn’t even allowed to go vegan for this exact reason, now i’m over it i don’t think i’d consider it

Did holly ever get proper medical help for her eating disorder? From the videos I’ve watched I don’t think so but correct me if I’m wrong.
Seems like she still shows lots of signs of ortherexia..

Nope. I'm pretty sure her and her family just 'talked' about it to help her get through it.

As someone who has done an ma, I did it about 5/6 years after finishing my original degree. I would never advise anyone to do one so soon after the initial degree as 1/2 years tbh

I think holly hasn’t recovered properly from her eating issues and obvious underlying anxiety. A lot of her behaviours are what I’ve experienced myself - lots of to do lists, isolating from others, excessive focus on study and productivity. These patters of behaviour can be destructive if left to continue, I needed a push from my family to get help but hollys family don’t seem to have intervened to get her help. Obsessive behaviour is dangerous and Holly is still in the cycle. About a year ago I watched hollys videos because I felt like we were the same and in a way I used her behaviour to justify my own. But it’s not a good way to live, at some point you can’t carry on the way you are. I know she has talked about mental health before but doesn’t explicitly reference anxiety. Now I think back to how similar I was to holly and how unhappy it made me, I couldn’t go back to that - I hope that someone intervenes because it can be really dangerous to have prolonged destructive behaviour and obsessive tendencies with a diagnosis and treatment.

Just saw somebody on twitter offering free tuition to low income folk who are doing autumn exams due to the A level results mess. It would be great to see Holly do something like that but I doubt she will, becuase her tuition is clearly aimed towards high achievers with money to spend (and who probably won the system this year with regards to A level results)

She’s the definition of privilege aiding privilege. It’s a cycle and in all actuality doesn’t help anyone. The people she tutors are those who can afford it, and the people she’s hiring are those who have had access to a great education. Not everyone can get that, or afford what Holly offers. She said she wants to make it accessible but she’s continually doing the exact opposite.

100 % This. I wouldn't be surprised if she's done first round selections for her tutoring business based on university attended.

Not sure this applies to everyone tbh, I did my first master’s straight out of my undergrad and I loved it, got a Distinction, still use the content in my day job. But the way she was flitting around with diff choices and has only just decided randomly to pursue this UCL one it seems like she’s not sure at all and just wants something to do, which is also a bad way to spend her student finance if she realises in future she needs to do a different course!

Important points from her video:
-She's not moving in with Emily as she fears moving in together might damage their relationship
-She's heard nothing about her masters
-She's going to start dancing again if she studies in London
-She is thinking about doing a PhD but doesn't really like lab work

Also I don't know if it was me but she seems to have a pretty serious bald spot on the side of her head, which makes me really worry about her eating

i know this video was posted 4 days ago, but i just watched it today and i was taken apart by A) how little she eats and B) her messy eating schedule
at 7AM she eats half a watermelon, in the middle of the morning she has a smoothie, then she proceeds to have lunch...at 4:30PM, and yes, it's only a "soaked oats" bowl with a few frozen berries, and finally, about 6 HOURS later she eats a naked cereal bar for dinner

how is that even possible with the amount of physical work she does?? she is using productivity and being busy as her excuse for not having lunch/dinner on time...she (as someone pointed out before) prefers to put her work first than taking care of herself

Well I really hope if she gets on the masters course that they have a good non lab-based research group she can work in. In my experience of undergrad you know pretty soon if youlike working in a lab or not, and she clearly doesn't! Don't know why she's almost forcing herself to try and like it.

She hasn't shown what she's had for dinner since lockdown if feels like. She eats it very late (close to 10:30 pm in that video!!) and not with her family. So she can easily hide how little she eats, and having dinner late at night she can't be eating much, becuase she goes to bed not soon after! It would be a massive red flag if I lived with her

That's not enough for someone who's sedentary, let alone someone as active as she is. Can she not see how ridiculous it is? And as someone who's had an ED (though arguably still does), you'd have thought Holly would be more mindful about triggering people and want to set a good example.
