And if I was her I'd go on the pill and try and avoid having it for a significant eventI’m sure Holly wasn’t the only female racer on her period that day. That’s an obstacle she is just going to have to learn to work around

That sounds like the worst thing in the world. There is a Hyrox CRUISE in the pipeline! World champ winners got a free balcony cabin. Do you think Angelo and Holly will go (paying their own way, of course)?

Are they engaged or did the poster just assume?Don’t ask me how I stumbled upon this but went down a bit of a Hyrox rabbit hole and look what I found
It seems the consensus amongst the unaware general public is that the whole thing is mental.

Unless she has changed her mind she used to be very anti hormonal birth controlAnd if I was her I'd go on the pill and try and avoid having it for a significant event
Yes, she said in a caption that she really didn't want to take any BC after losing her period for so long.Unless she has changed her mind she used to be very anti hormonal birth control
But she did have a period?I know we can all have a missed period from time to time, but if she was due one and didn’t get it, then I wonder if this new hyrox training regime has finally caught up with her….especially how not too long ago she said that she has managed to maintain having a period and therefore her training etc was healthy for her.
Even when she didnt have her period her doctor kept recommending hormonal bc to help her get her period and go through puberty and Holly declinedYes, she said in a caption that she really didn't want to take any BC after losing her period for so long.
Just what they need to do! Spend more money!Interesting reply she wrote to someone's comment saying she's thinking about getting a sports psychologist.
I think it'd be a smart move from a performance perspective and also from a social media perspective - seeing her come to some realisations and start working to break patterns would make for really compelling content.
I disagree. You can be vegan and absolutely get enough protein. Holly doesn’t represent most vegans or a healthy way to be vegan.I wonder how many of the Hyrox Elite athletes are Vegan? It seems to me they would want more protein and perform better with it in their system?
Lol yeah I wonder if at some point they'll realise that it's actually quite expensive to pay for all the help you need to be an elite athlete and go back to their jobs.Just what they need to do! Spend more money!![]()
I've always found it strange thag when discussing veganism/vegetarianism people are so obsessed with protein. Protein is so easy to find, most people in the developed world eat more than they need to. If anything there is a concern of a lack of things like b12. Holly is such a bad advert for veganism as her meals look so depressingI’ve tried to resist this but clearly failed - it’s a fallacy to think vegan = protein deficient.
Being vegan has nothing to do with Holly’s performance. Getting sufficient protein is entirely possible when vegan. Following a plant based diet can also be rich in protein and all the nutrients one needs.
The problem with Holly’s diet is that is is restricted in variety and combining the appropriate nutrients in each meal. Just like if someone ate the same animal-based food day in day out it wouldn’t be the best diet nor provide all nutrients the body needs.
End of rant. I do wonder whether their relationship fuels each others restrictions and limitations on what they eat, do, see. I imagine they essentially only speak to one another, and when your entire world is dependant on one another, it would be easy to get drawn into doing the same thing over and over to fill the void of everything else in life. I hope she makes it but alongside broadening her experience of life.
Exactly, most people are fibre deficient, not protein deficient.I've always found it strange thag when discussing veganism/vegetarianism people are so obsessed with protein. But again, back to my original question: I wonder how many Hyrox Elite 15 athletes are vegan?? Because E15 is Holly and Angelo’s stated goal… You know, the one you might have heard they quit their jobs for?I disagree. You can be vegan and absolutely get enough protein. Holly doesn’t represent most vegans or a healthy way to be vegan.
Why does it matter? Only 2% of people are vegan so not many of them will be. All that matters is they get the right nutrients, vegan or not. You’re really stuck on this and I don’t know why.But again, back to my original question: I wonder how many Hyrox Elite 15 athletes are vegan?? them being vegan (if they do well) could ve a great branding opportunity exactly because it's presumably rareWhy does it matter? Only 2% of people are vegan so not many of them will be. All that matters is they get the right nutrients, vegan or not. You’re really stuck on this and I don’t know why.
