This is why the physiological testing they did recently is such a bad idea. It's obvious without knowing specifics that neither of them has the physiology to be a professional athlete, but some of Angelo's results must really play into his insecurities (e.g. he's some way above the ideal weight for a Hyrox participant - not ideal if you have a hang up from growing up chubby).

This is what I mean by saying the stats they were comparing were not meaningful. The average bodyweight doesn't tell the full story. Angelo is quite tall, and comparing average height and average weight separately instead of as a ratio does not tell us if Angelo has the typical body type for a hyrox competitor. Additionally, they should be using medians because top performers can skew the mean, and they should have done two separate comparisons to see how they stack up against top performers and the median elite 15 competitors. All those marathon stats seemed like filler material to make a longer video and aren't relevant to hyrox.

I wonder if their progress is really what they would want after six months of not working.

They started with doubles and bombed it - fine if you assume that was Angelo's fault (given he is obviously the weaker of the two and probably has slim to no chance of making it). Angelo has bombed both of his individual attempts (again, fine if you assume Angelo has no chance of making it and that nothing depends on this). Holly bombed her latest, her first wasn't pro and it sounds like Warsaw was an easier course.

None of this would be an issue if they were doing it recreationally, but to be betting your future on this...I'm glad it's not me.
In no world did they bomb their races unless they’re trying to go elite then yes they did lol

I was the one that said he had grown up chubby. I thought he and Holly had touched on it in one of her old main channel videos

I question the timing. When did they meet? Was it after he had switched to full-time running? He said in a different video that he did belong to a gym before he became obsessed with running. My guess is he did the video gaming but I guess also worked out a little? But maybe when he was younger - like maybe primary school - he wasn’t into sports or fitness?
Yes! If I remember correctly Holly was into running before meeting Angelo but then became obsessive after meeting him as he was really into running. They would run together a lot early on after meeting.

I would be very surprised if they make it (particularly Angelo) for three reasons:
  1. They have roughly 2k subscribers after 4 months. Given Holly already had an audience already, that's not great, and I see no idea what their USP is other than they "quit their jobs" (something that isn't exactly relatable).
  2. The content is unvaried and unoriginal. Perhaps it's just not for me, but I don't see how their videos stand out from any other creator in this domain.
  3. Angelo definitely isn't elite and never will be, and Holly's chances are probably slim. Although Holly did very well in the "easier races", this has shown that when the competition is harder, she is distinctly average in comparison to where she needs to be. Angelo can't even perform when they're doing the easier races. Given they're devoting their whole lives and energy to this and almost everyone else will be doing it recreationally, that's not a good sign.
I think they're both far wealthier (especially Holly) than is portrayed, so all this talk about being "broke" makes my eyes roll. "Broke" people don't spend £15 per day on salads and shown no signs of any financial responsibility. Again, I think this mostly stems from Holly wanting a tangible goal (like she had with GCSEs, A-Levels and being number one at Cambridge), rather than just feeling directionless as a name in a company.
Agreed. Holly is someone who needs goals and stats to chase that she can never just be

And Saskia also runs Hyrox doubles, partnered with another Holly - Holly Archer! Why aren't Angelo and Holly White competing together in mixed doubles (or whatever it is called)?
Saskia is amazing she won the doubles too with Holly Archer all while still working in the medical field. Thats inspirational I would be intersted in those of vlogs.

Why on earth does he have to rush to the gym? He isn't going to a job after.
They are doing double workouts at their max capacity so im assuming they want to avoid getting there too late in the day because then their second workout would be in the middle of the night. Also im assuming he was meeting Holly there if they are both staying at their own family's place because in all the videos they dont seem to workout without the other.

Holly Archer has vlogs. They are… emotional and solely about her running / Hyrox. I would love it if Saskia would vlog her day (like she has time!)

Holly Archer is entertaining to watch. She reminds me of one of the characters on survivor that had a personalitiesthat you remember.

I remember watching on her vlog are about a month or so ago where her Saskia got multiple penalties for multiple things and she let lose on her thoughts on it.

I dont think itll be easy to qualify for elite, 1. It will be exoensive attending all those races all over the world to qualify. (Even people qork full time dont travel overseas multiple of times a year) They'll need money for that. 2. They need to be in top 10 overall not just age group as it all based on pounts.

One thing I have wondered about them is what happens if (god forbid) one of them suffers a serious or even career ending injury? Based on what we see, all they seem to have in common is exercise and restrictive eating. If one of them could no longer partake, what happens to the relationship? I honestly don't know how they'd spend their time as I can't imagine the other would be happy just cheering from the sidelines.

I know we only see a tiny snapshot of their lives and they may have more in common than we think, but as a viewer, their exercise addiction appears to be the only thing keeping them together.
