She acknowledged her tweets and her ignorance years ago and has since made an effort to make her brand inclusive. I don’t see how her speaking out about injustice is hypocritical when she has apologized for her tweets and actively changed as a person. Her tweets were vile and the groups she spoke about have the right to hate her for life, but it’s counterproductive to discredit her efforts to change.

She has been pulled up on it and there was huge drama. She made an apology video, deleted her Twitter, then made a new one a couple months later. I think she even made a second YouTube video where she told everyone she deserved what was happening and not to feel sorry for her. Her tweets were vile but I think she handled it better than say, Laura lee.

Remember one thing... she only spoke about it/acted upon it because she got caught.

Have you guys seen this? Uproar in Ireland over an event taken place in Belfast where many influencers attended the opening of a new bPerfect store in Belfast, attracting massive crowds with no masks no social distancing. People are angry because a lot of the irish influencers are Dublin based. Dublin is currently under lockdown stage 3 of 5, and the rest of the country is on 2. Stage 3 includes staying within the county unless its travel for "essential work" (which many are claiming this was). Super careless given the fact NI had over 900 cases yesterday alone.

What are the lockdown rules like in Manchester, given the fact holly is there?

EDIT im sure this applies to other influencers there not just Holly, shes just the only one that i know is from Manchester and i think they have stricter lockdown rules there?

Holly had her eyelashes done in Salford at the time of a local lockdown... Salford’s numbers were SO high, and it was illegal to have close contact beauty services done there. I messaged her about it and she told me she didn’t care!! So it doesn’t surprise me that she’s done this either. She really is one of the most thoughtless, irresponsible influencer out there.

So happy to have finally found a thread on Holly. I used to really like her and support her but she’s really gone downhill. Comes across as so rude and entitled. It was the flitting off to Mexico in the middle of lockdown that was the final straw for me. Unfollowed her on everything now and will no longer support her. She literally tweets the U.K. is bad vibes and thinks it’s OK to go on holiday. All these influencers then say ‘oh you’re just jealous you’re not holiday’. Yeah we are jealous, we all want a holiday but we can’t as we’re in the middle of a pandemic. The only thing I can respect her for is being completely honest about all the work she’s had done.. a lot of other ‘influencers’ *cough* Imogen, fail to be as transparent and honest to their followers about this kinda thing

Holly is unbelievably dry for a YouTuber. Zero personality, I don’t know how she’s lasted so long! Also her products are cruelty free but she’s happy to have them produced in China where they test on animals by law to sell there (so she produces there but doesn’t sell there so they can be cruelty free) but she still uses non-cruelty free makeup and skincare which she posted on her story today. So she obviously made her products cruelty free as a marketing technique not because she’s cruelty free herself. YAWN 🥱 another influencer doing shit for money and not because it’s what they care about.

Also I feel like her blackfishing doesn’t get called out like Madison’s does cause Holly’s naturally dark haired with brown eyes. She just fake tans to the max and overly fills her lips and doesn’t lay her edges (I don’t think)

she’s already said she’s had botox, lip filler and cheek and jawline filler. Said she has had it all dissolved though apart from her lips. Not to stick up for her too much but what you’ve got to remember is she was a young teenager in these pics. They’re probably what 8/10 years old? I know I looked veryyyyy different 10 years ago to what I do now... even 5 years ago! Obviously it’s filler too but filler and botox isn’t even as bad as some people think. I’ve had lip and cheek filler and not a single person even my partner or parents knew/noticed I’d had the cheek filler. Or botox! Obviously some people go over the top (Arianna ajtar lol) x
