Three months today, and I'll be skiing in France. Actually, to this minute I'll be just arriving in the train station, and hopefully skiing within 30 minutes.

Ran 15mins from the airport with my luggage for the train. Misunderstood the woman telling me where the platform was and saw my train leave An hour wait for the next one. After an already 31 hour travel day

I’m doing a group tour and starting in Hoi An and finishing in Ho Chi Minh. I’m guessing like a lot of countries in area it changes from wet to dry season as you travel around? Think I’ll pack for all weather just in case

We are just back from Thailand too, still jet lagged
Went to Bangkok, Ao nang, Railay beach, Khao sok national park, Khao lak and then back to Bangkok
23 nights of paradise. Already looking for flights for December!

We’ve booked again for January 2027 and have to say, it’s definitely cured the holiday depression lol. So yes I think you need to do the same

Blimey that is insane. I don't think I could cope with that. You'd probably have got over the jet lag by the time you get to the airport to go home...

I think for four days I'd be willing to go up to 5/6 hours flight time - providing the flight times were good so you could actually enjoy most of that time there rather than two of the days basically just being travel days.

The canaries is my limit for 4 days i think. 4.5h flight or so i know people who'll get on 16h flight for a week holiday (thats including travel). It's mad to me, I'd just be knackered the whole time

Probably depends on time difference too, not just flight time. Going to e.g. south africa it's usually same or similar time zone so while flight time is ages it's better than going far east or west i guess.

Booked my flights and hotel this morning for my solo New Orleans trip in September. This will be the second time I have been there. Cannot wait!! Been saving all last year for it.

I've worked a lot of overtime recently thought I'd be paying my holidays for 2026 off until the last possible date (May/June) but I'm hoping I'll be able to pay them off this month . I've started planning my 2027 trip I've always wanted to go the san blast islands but couldn't find a way to make it work. Race across the world just made me look into it again and G Adventures now have a tour there so hopefully I can do that

No, it's expensive but not that bad! Jane did a full expedition cruise, they're scary prices. We're doing a land and cruise trip. A week in Peru, sail from Santiago, Chile, through the Chilean Fjords, down to Antarctica then up to Falklands, Uruguay, disembark in Argentina and then fly to Igazu Falls and onto Rio.

You have just described my ultimate bucket list cruise! I'm so excited for you! I hope to get there one day!

We have just booked a river cruise for April, on the Danube. Starting and ending in Budapest and taking in Vienna (overnight) Bratislava, Linz and Durnstein. Really looking forward to it as we are usually ocean cruisers but fancied something different.

Ooh I think my parents are on that at the mo! The itinerary sounds the same.
My dad is 80 with mobility issues and was up doing the conga last night apparently so sounds like you’ll have a great time!

Just booked Tokyo for October and I’ve just made the mistake of reading about the tensions between China and Taiwan. Now I’m shitting myself it will kick off and Japan will get involved and it gets cancelled I really need to make it a New Year’s resolution to not over worry about things!

China / Taiwan tensions are fairly constant, historically, Japan aren't keen to get involved.
It's hard to ignore these things, though, isn't it. I'm currently trying to ignore the Trump posturing in South America, after the weekends Venezuela shenanigans, he's also wanting involved in Columbia, Panama and the Canal....my April destinations

Have the best time. I would love to go to Miami for a holiday one day. See the city and lie on the beach. It looks like a great city break destination, just a bit far away for a short break!

It was just for one night. We boarded a ship the next day. We've been to Colombia and Panama, today we're traversing the Panama Canal. Then we're off to Costa Rica, Mexico, LA and Seattle. We're staying on then to do a week in Alaska. Back via Toronto and Niagra Falls.

We have stayed a few days in Miami after a previous cruise ended there, the Art Deco areas are just lovely.

Just spontaneously booked a two night trip to Split this weekend cos the weathers gonna be crap in the U.K. for my birthday plans 🫣 very unlike me.

Anyone been and got food/drink recommendations? Or any generic tips cos now I’m panicking ha.

Split is lovely! You can spend a day wandering around the old town and Diocletian palace. Then down to the riva for drinks and people watching. If you like walking it’s worth walking up to Marjan Park for the views and tranquility. I did 2 nights there last year and loved it
And the number 37 bus goes from outside the airport into the city centre. Very easy and cheap.

We were due to go to Qatar on 31.03. Hoping to get a full refund from QA (apparently they’re dragging their heels on this more than Emirates). Worst case we’ll loose about £100 per ticket if we cancel ourselves. Decided even if travel is allowed, this isn’t going to end soon and Qatar is in the thick of it. We’re going to Sicily instead.

I go away in 2 weeks already packed tried not to over pack. Don't really want to carry hand luggage but taken a few outfits and essentials in hand luggage in case my luggage gets delayed due to short layovers. Been stalking the same flight daily for the last few weeks it was always on time but the last week or so the first flights been delayed every day
