Is anyone on here bothered by headaches?

I've had a bad headache since Saturday and it's not shifting. Tried taking some tablets etc. but nothing is helping. I don't see the point in going to the doctor as not much they can do at the moment with COVID.

Any suggestions on what could be causing it?

I have had one all day. I could barely get out of bed this morning and I feel a bit dizzy and kind of spaced out.
I haven't been sleeping that well and just feel very tired as well.

My tip, and it works everytime for me... Anadin extra washed down with full large coke.

A lot of people who had coronavirus had bad headaches.

I get hormonal headaches before my period that last 3 days.

I've had an earache for over a week that comes and goes, had a headache earlier this week too. I have been drinking more coffee the past week or so, so not sure if it's the caffeine? Paracetamols aren't doing much, so I've stopped taking them now. It could be my period as it started a week before my period, so hopefully it's just that.

I’ve had bad headaches. Lasting 4-5 days. Wondered if they were tension sinus/headaches/migraine. Tried migraine tablets but don’t help. Mine are a band around head.

have you stopped doing something? Could be a withdrawal symptom? I know when I drink too much coffee I get one. the other week I had a headache for a week. I think it was down to my hay fever.

I’ve been suffering the same yesterday I thought I was gunna pass out my headache made me feel so sick! I have stopped snacking though so I wonder if it was that! Hope you feel better today anyway :)

I get chronic migraines - not really full blown terrible ones that some seem to get (i.e. need to sit in the dark, vomiting etc) but just persistent headaches. I'm pretty sure mine are genetic as my mum and brother are the same. So sorry you're experiencing this.

Biggest causes of headaches are usually very simple things - not enough sleep, muscle tension, dehydration or hunger. Have you made any, even very basic, lifestyle changes? Cutting down on tea or coffee, not eating or starting to eat certain things? (Caffeine withdrawal can cause headaches)

I'd suggest some anadin, look up a quick neck stretch routine on youtube. If you can manage it, some exercise! (although if you're headache is really terrible that is probably not good idea!)

I've suffered headaches since I was 3, daily headaches and also migraines.

I currently get botox from the hospital in my forehead but some other way to help relieve pressure is - get a tie, tie it around your head tight, it relieves the thud of the headache. Also buy some menthol soothe - head sooth or 4head, rub it on your forehead and temples. Get a bath with menthol gel, it will help relieve it.

I also take 3 x 50mg amitriptyline everyday. Keep going back to your docs about it (I know in covid times it's not easy) they may give you a nasal spray, tho that didnt help for me.

There have also been times where my head has been thumping and a bar of chocolate has relieved it (unfortunately my neurologist wouldnt give me a prescription for a supply of chocolate!)

I’ve had a migraine for over a week, called my GP and they suggested I take co-codamol for 3 days and if it worsens to call them back. I’ve noticed a positive change in the first 24 hours after taking them. If you haven’t already you should try stronger pain killers and if that doesn’t work it could be an underlying health condition.

Ive started to suffer with headaches, last week
I had one as soon as i opened my eyes. It is a pain at the front of my head almost a feeling behind my
Eyes?
my mom said i should try and buy migraleve and it didn’t even do anything for me. Its getting frustrating now. Im making sure im eating all the time and drinking a lot of fluids.
I’m going to try tying the tie around my head.
i have forhead and its okay but the headache always comes back.

Sounds more like sinus pain. I suffer terribly.

My friend did say this. Did you go to Drs for medication?
It runs in my family! Think it’s allergies or from things I eat. When I cut out sugar my headaches went completely. Dr prescribed me beconase nasal spray that’s for allergies. It doesn’t always work. Or I sniff olbas oil from a tissue.

Pull your bed out and check there’s no dust behind it. Dust irritates me as does dairy.

Thank you so much. I’m in pain now would you believe. Going to pop chemist tomos and book drs x

Screen time can also cause headaches/migraines! Sounds like rubbish but genuinely the blue light glasses help loads, and if you get consistent pain like I used to, consider getting your daith pierced on the side that hurts. It’s apparently an acupressure point and can’t explain the science to you, but it works

Yes mine is often worse at night which is why I put it down to what I’ve eaten during the day but I did notice a big difference when I cut out sugar but I can never keep it up for long!

If it’s come out of nowhere you may have a sinus infection. Is the pain worse when you bend your head forward like if you were to touch your toes?

I have hormonal headaches before coming on my period but i have never experienced waking up in the morning With the pain at the front of my head there instantly. I’ve been fine this morning and afternoon. Just suddenly came on in the evening. I don’t notice the pain worse when i bend down. I’ve had earache aswell recently which i never normally do. It’s like my ear is tickling and i want to rub it - but i’ve stopped doing that because it’s obviously painful when the earache starts but only when i’ve rubbed my actual ear lol it sounds weird.
to be honest my diet isn’t mega healthy but i drink loads of water, probs need to keep diary of diet too.
