I adore Harry's songs and I have no doubt that as a person he's lovely (used to love 1D) what puts me off him though is as mentioned, there's a veneer between him and his fans, all interaction is carefully curated and it feels like he doesn't give much of a shit about his fans in that sense; initially I thought it made him seem a bit, up himself? I don't know, I feel like if I met him now and said I was a 1D fan back in the day he'd turn his nose up. And yes it feels like we see Harry Styles the brand and it puts me off a bit. I can understand and respect him for staying away from social media though.

(Sorry for saying that on the rave thread!)

I love his music but I can only listen to certain songs because some of them make me cry. Sunflower vol 6 is beautiful, it resonates with me so much.

I miss stanning him, it was so much fun. I watch clips of his concerts and interviews on youtube and all the love floods back. I also think he has one of the best stage presences going; I've never seen him solo but his concerts seem so much fun. (In comparison to Niall who I used to love, omg, zzzz)

Cannot pick a singlular favourite. I prefer LNT live. I love daylight, little freak, cinema, keep driving, daydreaming, satellite and LOML a lot though

That Better Homes and Gardens interview was actually one of the best ones he's ever done. Feel like giving him a hug now

"At points, he is almost daffily nice, too attentive, as if held in the throes of a decade-long bout of imposter syndrome (he confirmed that he does, sometimes, expect that someone will tap him on the shoulder and say, "The jig is up. You're done now"). Surely a mask, you are thinking. No one that fancied can be that sweet. I asked Styles this myself: Is he actually pleasant, normal, sane? "My producer keeps asking me when I'm going to have my big breakdown," he said, laughing. "The most honest version I can think of is, I didn't grow up in poverty by any means, but we didn't have much money, and I had an expectation of what I could achieve in life. I feel like everything else has been a bonus, and I am so lucky."

That said, both Styles and his therapist have questioned why he cares quite so much about being likable. This is one of the things he thought about a lot in his big pandemic reflection. In part, it's a choice, he explained. He recalled moving to London after The X Factor and hearing tales of petulant celebrities screaming because someone got their coffee order wrong and deciding to never be that guy, to never give someone a petty reason to bad-mouth him. But more recently he's come to worry that the drive for approval came from a more complex place, a place of caution, fear, control. "In lockdown, I started processing a lot of stuff that happened when I was in the band," he said. He thought about the way he was encouraged to give so much of himself away, "to get people to engage with you, to like you." He thought about the fact that no baby photos exist of him that aren't on the internet (you give a bunch to an X Factor producer doing a piece on your backstory without much thought, and suddenly your childhood is online). He thought about the journalists asking questions, when he was still a teenager, about how many people he'd slept with and how, rather than telling them to go away, he would worry about how he could be coy without them leaving the room annoyed. "Why do I feel like I'm the one who has done something wrong?" he said to me, after we got up to shift spots in the park when a teenager started filming us for a prank video."

I'm a filthy lurker on this site, and I've only just looked into the subforum, and saw this thread. Have to make a post because I adore Harry. I was never a 1d fan, probably not in there age demographic. But I loved all the boybands when I was a kid in the 90s, gave 1d a listen, but nope. Only like a couple of songs.
Anyway, enough of my life story, I listened to Harry's first album because so many people were talking about how good it was, gave it a go, and wow! I was completely in love with it.
He's very talented, and seems to be very lovely, and funny person.

My Fine Line rating (atm, it changes):
12. Lights Up
11.To Be so Lonely
10. Falling
9. Watermelon Sugar
8. Fine Line
7. She
6. Adore You (the music video to this is wonderful)
5. Golden
4.TPWK
3. Sunflower vol.6
2. Cherry
1. Canyon Moon

I'm seeing some slaughtering of Harry for the awful way this has been handled. And rightly so, treating the UK fans like absolute shit.

Having an emotional evening just sat crying to this performance because it’s actually perfection and I can’t believe he is real

He looks like he was born with the sole reason to perform sign of the times on graham norton   the fact this song didn't win a grammy is scandalous

I wonder if he has a quiet life when he hangs out with Olivia or if they drink and do drugs
I feel like if she's doing coke during the times she doesn't have her kids, it just shows that what is normalised for rich celebs would be (rightly) so frowned upon if it was a council estate mum with joint custody.

I have already declared my love for Harry earlier on, but I dip in and out of his stuff.

i just came across his jools holland performance of watermelon sugar again and my obsession reignited.

he is very much younger than me but he would definitely be on my list 5 men I could Be with with husband’s permission 😆😆 he hates my love for Harry 😞
I’m 14 years older and I’ve a huge crush on Harry. 😂😂

Rumers that he's coming out with Billie at Glastonbury .louis has been stopped at Glastonbury. I honestly feel for them as they won't be able to have a nice friendly reunion between best friends without people saying .oh it's the married couple

I think he's brilliant. He does what he wants without a fuss and comes across as a genuinely nice bloke and down to earth. I wish more were like him in his laid back approach to identity.

Helps that he's actually talented and deserving of the attention, too.

Has everyone heard/seen the rumour he’s launching his own cosmetics/beauty product brand? Would people buy from it? I know I would if it was stuff I liked
