The Responder has a similar vibe to HV - exasperated police officer, dark humour, local gangsters, northern actors a-plenty(apart from Martin Freeman, but he does do a convincing Scouse accent)

There was chaos at lunchtime today on Vicar Lane in Leeds where TLR had been seen making his escape from the courts. The road was closed and police rushing everywhere, my first thought was that they’d found him, I’m far too invested 🤣 (it was actually the Princess of Wales visiting the market 🙈)

Well il be honest I thought it was really bizzare at first and I was shocked at the pen scene! Lol! But I kept with it and I found it so addictive! But the second season is much better imo, and worth keeping with the first season. Although to be fair, you don't really need to watch the 1st one really to get the gist of the 2nd.

I'm going to miss Happy Valley so much. The script is absolutely fantastic amd so is the acting. Il be so upset on Sunday!
The White Lotus is unreal!!

Its not comparable to Happy Valley at all though so I wouldn't have brought it up on here if people were looking to fill the void 😆

I love the little nods to both shows. Theres a police officer in happy valley who is also in last tango holding baby flora when the nanny is caught speeding.

Where can I watch last tango?

Saw a clip on tiktok earlier of the HV references on there and I'd like something to watch till Sunday comes round

He was the one that beat Jack up on the beach then got pushed down the hill and killed!!
Someone else had replied earlier so I looked out for him today. I genuinely don't think I'd have recognised him if they hadn't said which character he was! I'm normally quite good at facial recognition but clearly the facial hair was enough to fool me 😆😆.

They are the people who think Mrs Brown's Boys is the best thing on TV. And you shouldn't admit they are your friends. 😆😆
