I have just caught up with this. It is bloody hilarious, they have made themselves a laughing stock. 😂 I bet they’re too embarrassed to open the front door. 😂

Jackie Weaver is an officer of the Cheshire association of local councils. They provide support to parish councils who obviously don’t have significant staff and can assist with all matters either admin fi an ace or legal advice. I would have thought she’d have a great deal of experience with parish councillors over stepping the mark being amatuerish and only after protecting their and their mates interests.

I'm a Parish Councillor, it's quite good fun!!

Normally at this level you're not elected on party lines, it's more about what the rest of the village think about you - elections are nerve-wracking. Obviously some people get votes for being massive Tories but ain't that always the way?!

Is she the maniac that was on the phone? Why did none of them mute themselves whilst they were ringing people I can’t understand it 😂
I’m not sure 🤔 it was said while they were showing Alecs iPad. I didn’t know if she was in the room with them or one of the other people 😂

My aussie family said it is gaining traction over there as well, https://junkee.com/jackie-weaver-ha...Pg6r4VjijBaGzbhcBo-l1DX9252U2K9ZidPqc07pgJszs

I love the line in the article: "Yet, despite having “no authority”, Jackie Weaver used her authority and booted the chairman out of the meeting. And while on 30 seconds long, the short clip is easily not only the most British thing ever, but the most chaotic Zoom call on record."

Is this what the British are known for?!

Does anyone else think the obsession with Jackie weaver is getting a bit much now? Admittedly I find it all very funny and I loved the video but people are now making mugs, nail art, merchandise etc etc and she’s supposedly a Tory voter 😂

last week she didn’t have social media and now she’s on all platforms milking it

I don’t know why I’m kind of uncomfortable but she’s been propelled up to some massive pedestal (kind of like what’s been happening with Captain Tom but not as big) and then the British people will be amused by something else in 5 mins

Noticed earlier someone had uploaded the best bits of the meeting immediately before this one. As you can imagine it's a complete mess with Jackie kicking Tolver out again, Aled getting all pissy over seemingly anything and Sue hilariously shutting down someone mid rant.

I don't know anyone involved in parish councils. I'd say to be defined by something it would have to be something much bigger than rural bust up. This story will be next months chip paper.
