I can just imagine her constantly saying to people that they wanted to move south but because of Riley's needs they can't do that. It's pretty much what she was saying anyway making it sound like they're doing some heroic thing

Yes and how does she think Riley’s medical issues are going to disappear when she’s older. Like there’s a good chance she will be dependant to some degree on her parents/help and yes need to be living close to the hospital. It’s like it’s just dawned on her.She’s a bleeping bleep. Especially as the level of IQ is still unsure. If she tests low enough to be intellectually disabled, she will need support for life.
The mother (angry bird) clearly has a low IQ if all of this is just dawning on her now. Surely she must have had some idea that one or both twins could face problems given how premature they were.

She chose to look the other way instead of getting Riley help. Pretended everything was fine.
