Thanks for that.I, thankfully, managed to turn them off when the test alert was sent out last year, I've got a Google pixel, but it should be on your settings somewhere. I was just getting my son to sleep and wouldn't have been happy with that racket going off just as he finally nodded offView attachment 4089466
I was driving along and thought it was a bloody warning alarm for the car engine even though there were no warning lightsI get why the message was sent out but was the scary blaring alarm sound really necessary
It's pretty pointless without the alarm, isn't itI get why the message was sent out but was the scary blaring alarm sound really necessary
I mean, no?It's pretty pointless without the alarm, isn't it
I was in the middle of playing one of my mobile games, thought the phone had been taken over or something! When it first went off I was scrolling on here, thought the phone had been infected![]()
Me too.I've turned mine off. If there's going to be a nuclear war, thanks, I'd rather live my last moments in relative peace and calm.
I dont think its worked. Three houses down from us are setting off fireworks. Next to a wood. Genius.I didn't jumpimpressed myself. Never had one before as the test ones didn't do my network.
Emergency alerts are proven to be effective provided they are clear and concise, which I thought it was. Hopefully makes the knuckle draggers think twice before starting yet more fires.
