Feels to me like he's trying to make a new start with a new image if he's been dropped, and I don't blame him for that. A bit like getting a drastic new haircut when you end a relationship.

I guess the problem is he needs to keep a hint of blond for the live tour/meet and greet opportunities because Bionic = blond.
I think as himself, pre Gladiators, he had brown hair but I imagine production needed to differentiate from Apollo/Giant who are similar height and also have dark hair

He again is failing to understand any issues, I am no Holly/Dan fan, but her show is aimed at adults and Gladiators is family friendly with a large audience/ followers of minors.

I can guarantee nobody under the age of 40 is watching her YouTube channel.

I don’t think they are, but they’ve done a few duets together for her music and you could imply they are.

I don’t get the image thing with the Gladiators. None of them have had any image changes for the show in four seasons, obviously off season they go back to ‘normal’. Some variety and change would be nice.

I think they were playing about with it last year, but she's posted pictures of a mystery guy on her IG a few times, I think that's her partner.

I dunno really - if I think back to the OG gladiators, none of them changed their image either - and whatever the producers did on this reboot has clearly managed to replicate some of that magic - so I can understand them not being able to (although not for the ones not on the show anymore though!!!).

Perhaps ‘image’ is the wrong word, but the costumes, hairstyles etc differed across many seasons of OG Gladiators, mainly the women. However, the point I’m making is that everything about this version of Gladiators is the same in terms of the aesthetic for the Gladiators. You could watch an episode of season 3 and it could be season 1. There’s little differentiation.

I agree. Apart from the addition of Hammer and Cyclone, you'd think all 3 series were one and the same. I was a big fan back in the day, and I used to comfort watch the old episodes back in Lockdown, and recall Lightning's costumes especially changing quite a bit. It's in danger of getting a bit same-y and it would be cool to see some of the costumes and styling evolve a little bit.

(I'd also love to see a few more of the OG games come back too, like Sky Track and Pyramid, or the one where they were on bungee jumps and had to dunk balls into a basket)

Skytrak and Pyramid would be fabulous additions to the event pool, as would Swingshot. The new German version of the series has Swingshot so I’m hoping that’ll be an event they’ll bring back.

Swingshot was my absolute favourite as a kid and the one I most wanted to have a go on me and my sister used to jump off the sofas pretending we were on bungee ropes reaching for balls
