Gladiators #3

The tickets are good for free. But travelling over 200 miles, a hotel for a few nights and getting stung in the merch shop I spent a bloody fortune 🤣🤣🤣🤣

What annoyed me the most is kids sizes stop at 9-10. I have a tall child and had to buy an adults size small which was an additional £15 over the price of the kids ones. Rip off guys. 🤣🤣

Will still apply next year for tickets though.
I didn't go anywhere near the merch stand...£7 for a bottle of Coke Zero and a bag of Randoms stung a bit🤣 we took our own sandwiches in and it was just as well as they'd sold out of pizza by the time we were hungry and the chicken nuggets and chips looked dry and unappetising! We were glad it finished earlier than last year as it meant the Meadowhell food court was still open for a quick stop on the way home!

My daughter says the chicken and chips was ok! We did take in sandwiches for lunch as well. She got very hangry at about 7.30 so had to get her something.

When we went to the live tour the food was awful in Manchester. Disorganised, overpriced, charging people and telling them to come back and then they’d run out. Although I guess that was the arena not the tour company!

Feels like some of you have never got food or drink at an arena before, it's always bad and/or expensive, it's part of the experience :ROFLMAO:

This series just feels so messy. If it's not Giant, it's the others being cut, the reduction in events and Dynamite still trying to learn to sing.

I am not totally against a celebrity gladiator, but i would want it to be more as a one off, something for children in need or a celebrity special.

they have nearly filmed the entire show already, so it could just be a few quick games for a special episode.

People who have been to the recordings have reported a few special Gladiator v Gladiator games involving Gladiators from different countries versions of the show, so maybe part of that.

I think they are going to play 4 normal games, one Glad v Glad game and the eliminatior each episode.

I don't mind things being changed, like new games and new Gladiators. I am also not 100% against them dropping a game if it prevents injury. What i am worried about is that they are adding a lot of ' gimmicky' stuff that will be part of the main show. The show is strong enough to stand on its own with out gimmicks being added.

Imo people have asked for international matches, glad v glad etc, but they want them as extra alongside the show, rather than part of it. A UK v the world special would be fun, or a glad v glad special. People would probably enjoy these more than the current Christmas special.

From what we saw last week I think you're right about the 4 events, Glad v Glad and Eliminator. The Glad v Glad bit was ok but it didnt feel worth dropping an event for. They reused the same event we had just watched the contenders do, so I hope they mix it up a bit and slot in a different event when they edit the show together. We had the fastest runner up competition as well which was basically the same event as the QF contenders. So we got 6 events, but only 4 different games.

Really felt like they were cost cutting, especially as apart from the first one which was already set up, the games we got were very simple and quick to set up. The new game only involved 1 Gladiator taking on 2 contenders at the same time which felt a bit cheap (and quicker to film) too.

We got there at 11.30, filming the events didnt start till 2.30 and it was over by 7.30. We were there till nearly 9 last year and filming started at 12.

OMG the Joe Marler thing looks all kinds of cringe.

I’m not against change - I am fine for bringing in new Gladiators and losing some of the existing ones - but losing an event per episode just isn’t worth it. It’s baffling that the 90s series used to film 6 events plus the Eliminator in a day and they can’t even manage that.

I think this Gladiator v Gladiator thing is going to get old quickly too.

"Mauler" has been on an event today.

I really thought it was going to be a sports relief special or something, that they were just filming at the same time, but nope, seems it is true and part of S4.

Sabre's "totally not an ad but is totally an add" IG post today of her being a "massive nerd" is made even worse when she can't even figure out how to flip the video so the words aren't all back to front. :ROFLMAO:

I swear she has to be the worst Gladiator for advertising without making it clear to her followers.

Comet is married. I was not expecting either of their outfits tbh!! Her hat or his shoes/lack of shirt. I thought it would be more traditional
