I can’t be the only one who just thought Autotune was the name of an American gladiator for a second there?!

American Gladiators still shows as “Coming Soon” for us, annoying.
I know I was ready to watch it last night. I want to see if its any good. I was ready to tit on the reboot but eneded up loving it so hoping for the US one to do something similar.

From what I've read USA Gladiators is on Prime Video
Episodes 1-3 April 17th
Episodes 4-6 April 24th &
Episodes 7-10 May 1st
Look's like the winners get $100,000. Do the UK winners get prize money?

I watched an episode on the dodgy tv box with the kids.

It is soooooo bad! Everything you expect from an American version of a show.
It’s like they threw the original concept in a blender and added a heap of American flag stars.
Also the commentary is delivered at an excessive volume, like the commentators are being chased themselves.

The Glads have zero personality

The kids only want to watch for the cringe factor

Anyone else unable to watch American Gladiators yet? It's still saying coming soon on my Amazon profile.

I see Sabre is in this series of Celeb Apprentice. Will be interesting to see how she works.

Erm, it's completely gone off my Amazon app - I can't even search for it any more!

I really wanted to try the American one. I have no idea why they advertised it all over the uk when its not on for us. Doesn't sound like we are missing much though.

I managed to watch the first 3 episodes. I was shocked during powerball there were no rules, it was mayhem and great to watch. The eliminater is the same set up as the UK one but when they are climbing the rope the whole set moves and looks a lot harder. The travelator is brutal it's longer and they are struggling with it. It was a great watch!

I think the UK approach to risk in this scenario is Health and Safety rules and regs where as America is very much 'sign this waiver in case you die'

Does anyone know why the US version was filmed in France? It is not like America is short of arenas that could be used.

Seems an expensive choice to fly and accommodate everyone involved and have an audience whose first language isn’t English 😬

I would imagine the cost of flying there and accommodating everyone in France was financially cheaper than doing everything from scratch in the US. Everything was all in place after the French version of the show had finished filming (I believe it tanked in the ratings anyway).

Tea on Reddit suggests that they paid the audience a small amount of Euros to stay for the purposes of filming.

That's probably true. A colleague of mine was out in Poland when the BBC were filming the first series of The Wall and got paid to be a member of the audience.
