The first time we saw unleashed was amazing. Didn’t know what to expect and then phantom hurtling out - wow! So exciting! Mr muff and I did comment on what a shame nitro was out last season.

Didn’t consider what someone upthread mentioned about him using the giant social media handle now…I wonder what would happen if he got told legally he cant use it anymore? I bet he didn’t consider that could be a consequence

Have the Gladiators not been training and practicing this time around? Outside of Fury, Dynamite and Legend, all the rest seem to be really struggling with the games. I used to really like Sabre, but the way she lets contestants just get easy points on The Edge whilst she parades around is infuriating. Maybe they've spent too much time on their social media this time around.
I do find sabre purring mid game odd. I get it at the start before the whistle but not mid game….her hair so heavily flicked over to one side I hate…lovely curly hair but to much flicked over imo

He didn't look at his best, I think he was carrying an injury.

They work so hard for the three weeks or so of filming the show, they must be absolutely knackered by the end. They are supposedly adding 2 new gladiators for next year, but i think they need to add more rest days between recording blocks.

I have really enjoyed this series. It is really inspiring seeing how hard everyone works

It'd be a cheek to charge, the audience is a tool to make the programme, a lot is asked of the audience (of any programme, not just gladiators). Sitting for a long time, long stretches of nothing happening, repetitions of the show for pick ups etc, being told when to laugh and cheer, not balls up continuity by swapping seats or buggering off halfway through. It's not "work" by any means and it's great to see a programme being made but it's not an audience in a traditional sense of going to see a show (which is for the entertainment of *that* audience, this for for the entertainment of the tv audience), always good fun though, I've done a few and never regretted it

I wish for more..... but then I still wish that Eunice Huthart would make a gladiators comeback and smash all the new contestants! Im showing my age there, but fans of a certain age will remember Eunice.
Yes I remember her, they were the good old days

They’re not bad singers, but they’re both devoid of any natural chemistry with each other. It also doesn’t help that the song is so boring and bland, which goes for most of Dynamite’s music.

not phantom!!!! wtf!!! Cyclone and fury are the best female glads so that’s a really big blow too. Female glad names are LAME
I follow both Fury and Cyclone on insta so did wonder as they’ve both had spinal injuries I think. Sad if Phantom went, was hoping Apollo would get the boot.

But yay Highlander!

It was good fun! We did have tongue out Lewis as a contender but fair play to him he was super gracious and not as bad as the TV series. But we also had series 2 champion Joe 😊

Ditto. He's hilarious.
Big fans of Legend here too but really surprised Matt does fitness wasn't the first to find that his 'values didn't align'

Watched him on a few podcasts recently (thankfully not with my my eight year old in ear shot) his attitude and language wasn't a surprise really but combined with some of his views my first thought was oh god is that Legend gone ... 'Lazy fat kids and the fucking parents allowing the problem' and 'There's no fucking excuses move your body no matter what age or health condition just fucking do something, anything then promoting his own energy drink range clearly off the back of his Gladiator status now we have Giant 'soft launching' his support of adult content creating because he's sleeping with one 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think Joe has broken the show. He's lovely yet pretty poor in events against actual Gladiators (e.g. Duel, Powerball etc.) but when on his own, particularly the Eliminator, nobody stands a chance. The final will be interesting but I can't see anyone beating him on the Eliminator as he's just too good due to his background.
Yes, I thought he folded early in Duel in the quarters, and the same thing happened in the semi. He's great at the fast-paced games (The Edge, Unleashed), but not at anything requiring strength. It was less noticeable in the quarters because more of the events suited him.

Nathan the crossfit guy did beat Joe's eliminator time, so I'm interested to see what happens if they wind up in the final together.
