I was thinking that the replacement contestant could get half the points that the injured contestant had earned. It’s not perfect but it might be a bit more fair to the uninjured contestant.

Make them do all the games that the injured contestant had done, but off camera, to work out his points and wear him out a bit before the Eliminator. Sorted

All I want is for Nitro to be at Birmingham this year. Last year everyone's faves there except Nitro for me. Always the Mum that misses out. But I did get to see Phantom (he smelt soooooo good!) And Cyclone who was so lovely.

Just watched it, absolute SCAM that vogue won after being helped with a ladder.

I suppose it’s no different to Louise Minchin getting a lift up on the hurdles from Mark during the Eliminator last year, but that felt more endearing whereas the help they gave Vogue felt like cheating. I get that it’s a celebrity special, but still.

I fear Fury might be out for filming series 4 though as she talked in her Instagram about having back issues and needing rehab?

I have seen that and was gutted as she is such a positive role model for kids.

I don’t think she’s a good Gladiator in term of events at all. The Edge she messes around on, she’s terrible at the wall and gauntlet. She’s okay at Dual but I think she plays up to the fact she’s beautiful and uses that to get by. There is far better Gladiators than Saber.

I’ve found some stats on Reddit and I think I will remove the ‘really’ from my ‘really good’ assessment of Sabre’s performance on the events. Whilst stats don’t have context, she’s done pretty well on a number of games (The Ring, The Edge, Powerball, Duel) but obviously lost on Hang Tough (plus two wins) and also lost every time she has done The Wall. Howver, the context missing from The Wall is that Comet and Fire have lost every time they’ve done it and Sabre also did it more in the first series when the headstart was longer than it is now. I still think she’s a good Gladiator and has a character, but it’s just Sheli herself has put me off.

Hammer just doesn’t have a USP aside from his…hammer. He’s a big guy in a sea of big guys. There’s not a lot to make him distinct everyone else.

Cyclone is one of my favourite Gladiators. She’s a proper heel to me with the performance to back it up. Love her.

Probably, but they’d be pretty foolish to allow him back, in my view.

Sabre redeemed herself slightly when she spoke of strong women after one event and praised the winner instead of being petulant for once.

I guess you can't keep being catty when you're regularly losing.

Fury always bigs up her opponents.

Nitro defo has a presenter role in him, he’s my son’s favourite and is just all round likeable.

So glad Keeva went through, I didn’t like Rachel and I couldn’t stand Andy so glad the other guy went through too (can’t remember his name).

I’m so here for the extra Athena this season Sabre is my least favourite female gladiator, she seems so heavily into being some kind of star! I don’t follow any of the glads on social media so I could be totally wrong with this kind of observation though.

Yeah something tells me they'll both be piggy backing off his Gladiators fame from now on.

I'm betting most of his special guests on the podcast will be his co stars from the show and of course Bonnie and Lily are inevitable talking about the usual of not minding smells, making sure the guys have their masks on, staying hydrated throughout and showering yourself afterwards, big man Giant saying it all sounds like pretty empowering stuff to him and here's to more educating of the kids next week

I don't think any of the Gladiators will appear on it for fear of being associated. Have any of them liked his posts or wished him well on social media? I haven't seen a thing.

I don't know, I feel like Cyclone is only one step away from being either another mean girl like Sabre, or just ridiculously angry like Viper.

I felt sorry for Nikki. It was awful seeing her fall twice, she hit her back against the podium on the way down as well.

I don't know why they didn't restart the eliminatior after both sets had a poor start. However the contestants had done so poorly in the heats, maybe the crew just couldn't be arsed anymore at that point and just let it play out.

The contestants have to go through a selection process and get to do a few days of training on the games before the show starts. They don't put people on the show who have no chance at being able to play the games properly.

It was just horrible luck that all 4 managed to have a bad time on most of the events. It is a long and tiring filming day, and i think that if you really mess up on a game it probably hard to get yourself back in the head space you need for the games.
