Giant's Instagram story is about him making a Gladiators come back. "Media reports" claim that the other Glads aren't happy he's been booted off. :cautious:

100% agree, wanting to talk about taboo subjects and adult content is fair enough i suppose but then he's hoping over to his CBBC commitments and promoting both content side by side on his Instagram !?!

Yes I was thinking about this before - it’s not Saturday night family tv - the Gladiators are very heavily featured on CBBC with the prank show, they’re always on Blue Peter, Newsround , Saturday Mash up. Literally Children’s tv 😬

This series I do really enjoy and I think they’ve done a good job - I just wish it didn’t feel so manufactured. i also wish glads like Athena were a bit better/featured more. I just feel like there’s potential being wasted a bit.

Yes gym culture wasn’t the same in the 90s for sure and I feel like the contenders were generally fit but in a ‘five a side’ way rather than a CrossFit way.

Sabre redeemed herself slightly when she spoke of strong women after one event and praised the winner instead of being petulant for once.

Not saying you’re wrong, I see his ex wife’s posts as well about living with his mood, but I suppose we’ll never know, there’s always 2 sides! I just think it’s a bit stupid to quit your job over a girlfriend you’ve probably had for 6 months (possibly less!) regardless of her job, if it doesn’t work out he might feel like an idiot later down the line

Really enjoyed this week's show. I am a big fan of Viper ( there are literally 10s of us), and it was great seeing him get a win and get to be 'King Viper'.

I ran out of time to edit my post. I wanted to ask what sort of character/gladiators do we want to see being added to the show.

I thought that they will probably add another ' big guy' to replace Giant. However i think it would be interesting to bring in someone with a gymnastics, martial arts or climbing background. They would be physically smaller, but would have a lot of strength and flexibility. Would give them an advantage of things like The Wall, Hangtough, maybe bridgeball as well.

For the ladies I would like to see someone who ia comfortable playing a villain role throughout, who doesn't drop character and praise the contestants when they do well.

Gutted about Ella and Mo and I agree it’s unfair Tyler got to come in do one event and be all fresh for the eliminator

I remember in the first series a contender saying about powerball or something that his strategy was to outrun Nitro. Nitro responded with "I'm an Olympic sprinter. You aren't outrunning me!" And some poor sod always gets him on unleashed.

Yes, I agree with why they’ve gone for a known name - he’s already got a fan base and lots of Strongmen fans are happy in the comments - and counteracting those still lamenting Giant 🤭😬

We said as we were watching it that we didn't think she'd manage the final. Knee injuries are tricky at the best of time but I don't think that they have a lot of recovery time due to the filming schedule.

Tonight's episode was good though, was glad Mus won over Nathan, he seemed to be taking a battering!

I’m an episode behind, but that Heat 5 female eliminator was SO BAD. Falling from the hand ladder twice and then that traveller? Embarrassing. And those Duels were also bizarre in the number of disqualifications.
