I wanted Matt to win, too! He seems like a nice guy. I was also glad Emily won, so it was a good result all round for me. Both eliminators were pretty tense, though!

Everest was good, although I think they may have to rethink the tilt time given that only one of the four Gladiators managed to knock a contender off.

As a parent I also think that the BBC have made the right call here.
A few weeks ago we had noticed he had posted a photo of him visiting the team we supports football match and my little one asked to look at his photos. She doesn’t have insta or use it but I did let her have a wee look at his profile. I’d have been devastated if he had posted anything with this gf and tagged her and my wee one had got onto her profile.
In the public domain in a job that is aimed at families you just can’t be linked to that content. No1 is saying he can’t be in the relationship but he shouldn’t be sharing her page when it’s not family friendly.
he’s now living this attention and the 5 mins of fame that’s coming with it but it will soon die down and he’ll be on OF to bring in the money too.
💯💯 this! Kids accidentally coming across her dodge content 🤮

People were queuing for 5-6 hours and mainly outside. I saw one woman say she arrived at 6.15am so was at the front of the queue and saw the gladiators at 10.30am. They closed the queue completely about midday.
People did say all the gladiators were lovely though so no reflection on them, just demand far outstretched capacity

I am so happy Amanda won! Well deserved. Sad for Mus, I think had the Wall been its usual event he might have won. Legend was fast on that Wall!

Yes, I agree with why they’ve gone for a known name - he’s already got a fan base and lots of Strongmen fans are happy in the comments - and counteracting those still lamenting Giant 🤭😬
I wouldn’t have said Giant was the most known Gladiator, for me I’d never heard of him and Nitro, Legend and Fire have all done more things since which I’ve watched like Strictly and other reality shows. I can’t think of anything outside of Gladiators I’ve seen Giant on

I agree. I don't need to watch a series of PTs and gym owners. I much prefer the bakers, school teachers, doctors etc. It's a more interesting story.
Agreed, people who are not spending their working day keeping fit are really putting far more effort into the competition.

We were wondering last night how it's filmed. Do they film multiple episodes all in one go so that they can leave the equipment up for longer, and just use different Gladiators or do they really dismantle everything after the two male and two female contestants have done their events and carry on with the same episode? Any info from people who've been to filming is welcome :(
We saw the filming of the 1st quarter final in the summer. One episode that day- started filming about 11.30 and finished about 21:45. Every event was dismantled between each game. The crew are total pros and it is fascinating how quick and seamless it seems. A lot of filming is done by drone too.
Eliminator takes longest to set up but was still fairly quick.
When the games are being played theres no music and you dont see a timer.
The new game we saw filmed is where a contestant and glad push a perspex wall at each other and after so long the platform they are on tilts.

I think Nitro, Phantom and Steel seem like nice lads and competed in the Olympics so I'm not sure they would be as arrogant as others (despite literally being elite athletes). Fire came over well on Strictly from what I saw and I think Fury seems a really lovely kind girl.

Diamond gives off "bitch" vibes and Sabre has become more annoying I think.

Don't feel like we see much of Comet and Athena compared to the other girls
I agree with all of this. Diamond’s extensions really annoy me as it looks so fake but she clearly thinks she looks all that

Daily Mail have done an article on him leaving over his gf. Someone has commented saying there is a video of them that’s been shared… if true what an absolute fool.

I ran out of time to edit my post. I wanted to ask what sort of character/gladiators do we want to see being added to the show.

I thought that they will probably add another ' big guy' to replace Giant. However i think it would be interesting to bring in someone with a gymnastics, martial arts or climbing background. They would be physically smaller, but would have a lot of strength and flexibility. Would give them an advantage of things like The Wall, Hangtough, maybe bridgeball as well.

For the ladies I would like to see someone who ia comfortable playing a villain role throughout, who doesn't drop character and praise the contestants when they do well.
Someone like hunter who was big but very good at most of the games especially the wall. It would be good to have a powerhouse (like warrior). I’m so annoyed at giant because he served a purpose.

I had really high hopes for Athena but she barely featured in any games then got an injury.

I do think like another poster mentioned, the games need to be tweaked. The gauntlet isn’t daunting anymore. I also hope they lay off over producing the games. It does feel as though glads are asked to throw things sometimes. We watched the episode from season 2 where the gb gymnast contender came in and some of the antics definitely felt like they wanted him to be the “winner”. I feel like the enjoyment of the OG gladiators was when a contender really pushed hard and beat a glad. Although I always did cheer the glads on 🤭
