Two weeks is great. Our local Vue is literally showing it Fri/Sat/Sun and that's it. Friday was a no no as it's the last day of term and I am goosed now, let alone then! And Sunday we're off to Harrogate to see Reece Shearsmith so I've had to book Saturday night.

Hoping it won't be long until it streams!
I think my Odeon is only doing three nights, too 😟

I'm up to the Ned Kelly episode and I think i need to retract my statement🤣 that was pretty diabolical🤣 I think while they stick loosely to the UK plots it's fine. I like all of the ghosts though, which is something I can't say about the US version where I don't like any of them!

So I’ve been lurking on this thread and decided to try the US version! I think the two things I actually liked initially (on episode 3) was 1- that Sam’s fall was a genuine accident 2- the mucky politician is the one that is chasing her; it’s just funny! I definitely agree with the comments above- it’s not subtle at all, but if you take it for what it is, it’s a time waster (I’ve decluttered the whole toy box!)
I’ve just finished the US series.
I think it’s best not to compare it to the UK version because, other than the concept, it’s totally different.
Sam can see Ghosts wherever she goes. Could Alison do that in the UK version? I can’t recall. I liked when she met her mum again.

I don’t think the actor who plays Thorfinn is very good - is it just me or does his accent keeps slipping?

Trevor, the Wall Street Trader, who plays the equivalent of the UK politician character, is much more likeable than the UK character.

I miss a “Mary” equivalent.

Nigel reminds me of Matt Hancock facially! 😆
The headless character seems to have been forgotten most of the time.

There is no way that Hetty would have been so accepting of Isaac admitting he was gay or shared a bedroom with him. Did we find out how she died? I’m also glad the Prom Queen was only for one episode as I didn’t enjoy that one.

I'm a terrible party pooper, but me and my friend just for back from seeing it and rated it just 'OK'.

We were a bit disappointed, tbh 😔

But glad to hear it's gone down well with so many others.

Can't wait to see it too (and if I had the money id go to the drive thru and take no passengers - seats for snacks/picnic and blanket 😂)
It's only on at the Odeon near me for 2 weeks. I wonder if it will then go on streaming sites like Netflix. I loved the drive thru movies as a kid!

I think the BBC would stream it over Netflix or the option to pay on prime

Hahaha. I think if you enjoyed Peep Show, you may enjoy this. The first series takes some breaking in- as does any where they're establishing characters etc but it's fab.

Peep show was outstanding. I'm always told that I remind people of Jez which I'm not entirely sure is a good thing 😂

Yondeland is the kind of wacky programme you watched as a child and reminisced about as an adult but made for your now warped/ jaded/ filthy adult mind 😂

I think you can get the dvds online but one of the series is impossible to get hold of.

Like This Life which I got recently. Series one is dirt cheap but series two is £££
Will have to check this yondeland out now sounds up my alley
