Getting the kids to bed / sleep is a challenge at te minute. They share a room and it's so light which doesn't help. I haven't really figured out the best way to go about it yet . I think me going in their room just makes me irritable.
Bedtime for me have always been a battle, they get better for a while then she pushes the boundaries!

We have quiet time half an hour before bed, like reading together or colouring in.

she has blinds and black out curtains but in the summer still gets light through, she actually uses a sleep mask and that seems to help!

I think it just seems to be the thing they want control over, I live for the teenage days when I can get my own back for being a fool at bedtimes 😂

Anyone got experience of sleepwalking? My five year old was up and out of their room last night and I'm sure they were asleep.

My daughter used to do this, she does still occasionally, she gets up and walks to the top the stair and just stands there, I speak to her and she doesn’t really say anything and I direct her back to bed! She swears blind the next day she absolutely didn’t 🤷🏻‍♀️

No experience of having a sleepwalker, but of being one.
Try not to wake them, they'll more than likely have a conversation with you but not remember it. It's a case of gently guiding them back to bed.

If it's a regular thing, I'd ensure there's always a clear path so they can't fall hurt themselves.
You might find things misplaced, for what ever reason when I was sleep walking I'd bring the toilet roll out of the bathroom cupboard and stack them 🤷🏻‍♀️.

My uncle was a sleep walker and let himself out of the house when he was 9, so keys out of reach so doors can't be unlocked.
