In fact its more feasible that someone who may look white could have black ancestors that they're completely unaware of. I did one of those genetic tests a few years ago and discovered I had some ancestors from different parts of the world that I was completely unaware of. My husband whose family is from the Caribbean discovered he has some Swedish ancestry, although he doesn't look remotely Swedish.
Nearly everyone in the world is 'mixed race' unless they've grown up as part of a remote tribe that never mixes with anyone else. Race is mainly a cultural construct. So it's more feasible that Rachel Dolezal could have black ancestry than any man can turn into a woman.

I used to love this too but I've really gone off it. I really hate Sarah's insistence on going "huh!" when her guests are speaking and she's another one who insists on trans women being women, queerness, etc.

I always way preferred Sarah to Michael, tbh this was back in the mad days and I don’t think my attachment to the pod was all that healthy, but I did find that in its early days it gave me a refreshing and positive way of looking at the world at a time when I really needed it.
Michael always irritated me and I’m annoyed at myself for taking so much of what he said at face value, because in hindsight I think he was always twisting narratives to suit his own agenda. He’d also just repeat things that Sarah said which would do my head in if I was her!
I haven’t listened to it in a long time, and I agree that when I have tried more recent episodes they’re either unlistenable, or forgettable. I think Sarah records high quite a lot too, or at least she used to, which I find too distracting.
One of the last episodes I listened to was on the Sex Wars and omg it was suuuuch a disappointment. The guest she had on was another millennial and neither of them engaged with what the debate was actually about and instead used it to justify why they thought porn was okay. I found even Sarah’s discussion re Linda Lovelace really distasteful and off putting. Same with her gender woo stuff, which is a shame because I do still root for her and what her to WAKE UP.

A former friend who stopped speaking to me when she found out I was GC has a trans husband. She had a difficult pregnancy and the baby was poorly too, then she was a bit of an earth-mother type and he's obviously feeling all un-special. He will never pass in a month of Mondays.I wonder how long before he realised that his female partner was going to be the centre of attention for months, until the birth of his twins, when the attention would (rightly) be focused on them? So many of these men seem to have a real problem when they're not the centre of everyone's universe, and it's telling when you realise how many of them suddenly discover their "feminine" side when children come along. Although they're rarely feminine enough to take over the child-rearing, housework and general drudgery that actual women do every single day

If his account is to be believed, some poor female member of staff did the measuring. However, I can’t imagine this conversation taking place. I mean, how do you get onto the subject of cats when having your bust measurements taken?
When trying on bras we spoke about our love of cats. We both agreed that cats really do become part of the family. We talked about our love of cinema too – we had lots in common. It was just a regular conversation between two women. No weirdness, just a quiet afternoon at M&S.
