Minding my own business in a supermarket and a gang of male builders ages from late teens to 30 somethings walk in. I watch them purposefully go past a couple of young teen girls, trying to brush past (although plenty of space in the aisle to not invade the girls' personal space). The girls were oblivious so I called the girls over to ask them for their help to reach something and i gave the pathetic men hard stares and kept watching them to ensure they didn't "accidentally" bump into the girls.
(The men probably thought I'm a jealous old hag ruining their fun)

The Enhanced DBS is also only any good if someone has been caught and found guilty!!!! What happens to those who behave appallingly yet haven't yet been caught, like that sick caretaker who murdered those girls from Soham. !! Theres an awful lot of dodgy people out there!
Im happy to do all the paperwork for all the DBS etc, and I suppose its useful up to a point, but I still think we need to use a common sense approach to child safety etc, eg it would make a lot more sense to have more than enough staff, so that everyone can just keep an eye on everyone else!
