I've been here for years and I haven't read the wiki, I've dipped in and read things that interest me, it's rather like a library as the information is there if you need it.
The crux of the debate is simple - sex is immutable, you cannot change sex, and women have sex-based rights to protect their privacy, safety and dignity - so please feel free to read along and post your thoughts

We really do need to start dismissing men like Fry. How or why should anyone take the words of someone so openly disturbed sexually, I have no idea. It really is time to tell these men to shut up. He isn't alone in his opinion, there many gay men just like him. I don't know what happens to young gay men as they go through adolescence, but it never appears to be legal or a good experience, it certainly should not give them a voice on the rights and safety of women and girls. I'm fed up with all of them, and their nefarious orgs (Stonewall/GLAAD/The Trevor Project/The Men's Rights Campaign, et al) too.

Originally it took years for a man to officially be classed as Transexual. It was a long process, lots of hurdles and very few men reached the finishing line. This meant that the numbers were low and most didn't present a threat to women. They also - on the whole - didn't want to attract attention, just live quietly.
This has changed, and now any man can simply declare himself as "Trans" and - until recently - access all women's spaces. This includes grape centres, hospital wards, les meetings, changing areas, sports and of course toilets.
Unsurprisingly this has attracted the worst type of men, and these present a danger to women. Not only a physical threat, but a threat to women's privacy, dignity and autonomy.
The recent Supreme Court ruling has said that the law was misinterpreted, and that single-sex has always meant single-sex, and that these men should not have been allowed access to them.
There is now an angry push back from the Trans Rights Activists, with protests being held. The rhetoric is that this ruling is "anti Trans". The solution, that they use unisex facilities or have their own spaces, is unacceptable to them.
Meanwhile, the majority of women simply want to regain their own spaces, free from all men - however they "identify".
BIB nail on the head there. Male desire is powerful. It doesn't have the checks and balances of female desire, where we have to consider pregnancy and, unfortunately, social attitudes that shame us - and that's just in a consensual relationship. So I doubt there's much sweetness or romance to young gay experience, especially with predatory older men who go on about pederasty at dinner parties. Then there's the whole public school thing, with it's repulsive traditions and brutality. Fry might fawn over beautiful, famous women, but he really doesn't like us at all.
Just watching tv and an advert comes on for Andrew, 74% of kids won’t poo at school so the boy gets the Andrew and goes to the boys bathroom with his loo roll, thought the reason was because school toilets where all mixed sex I know my nieces school is and she will go all day and not go to the loo.
Oh, duck off with this rit. As a les, I always thought pride was a load of balls even before the gender lunacy. It was always aimed at gay men (I used to say to people, when you see posters for pride, have a look and see if you can see any lesbians on any of them. You won't, 'cause it's all centred around men) But i guess at least pride used to be about gay people. Now pride posters and advertisements are full of all this trans lunacy and daubed in their colours. The original pride colours are all but being erased. Although I suppose at least that's an accurate representation of what's actually happening to the community.

I like Rylan. I'll try to find the link later, but he was interviewed fairly recently and they covered the topic of pregnancy in trans women and if I recall correctly he said the notion of asking a biological male if they were pregnant was ridiculous

I work in a school and I struggle to poo at work!
But seriously though, a lot of pupils of both sexes hate using school toilets. At my daughter's school, the toilets are locked during lessons and don't always get unlocked at the end of the day so she always runs in the house and rushes straight to the toilet.
I've complained that it's not healthy to have to hold in urine but the school's solution was to issue a hall pass for her. I pointed out that's it's an issue for more students than just my child.

A new colleague at work this week introduced himself on the (public) Pride network page telling us all about his 19 year old son who he has transed and boasting about volunteering for Mermaids. Maybe they’re just desperate for praise because it never takes long for the usual suspects to turn up and applaud them for their “allyship”.

It's not just that though. Girls have to deal with periods at school and frankly it's inhumane making girls sit there while leaking through because they know the toilets are locked and they can't go until break/lunch/home time. Or having to use higher absorbency tampons just to make it through the day. There are so many health risks associated with kids (particularly girls) being unable to access the toilets when needed.
If we woke up tomorrow and men and boys menstruated, whilst the patriarchal structure remained in place, the concessions they would be allowed would be massive. No vat on period products? They'd actually be free. Paid menstrual leave would be common place. There's no way toilets would be locked during the day. But it's just girls and women so who gives a duck?
Hello all, I don’t think I’ve ever posted in here before. Just have something to share. We attended a cosplay event for teens with autism a few weeks ago. The centrepiece was the cosplay competition itself & those kids & their creativity were amazing. There were a couple of side events and a hall full of movie/manga/gamer merch stands. Point is, the amount of “trans” merch was shocking. Stands with blue-haired pierced acolytes flogging flags, badges etc etc. ASD teens. Indoctrination.
What has being rescued from a burning building ( or any other emergency situation) got to do with “who you love”? Is it really of any concern or interest to anyone. I’m quite sure fire crews are busy getting people out of danger and extinguishing fires without speculation on whether the people are rescuing are straight, gay or have some weird fetish. It’s totally irrelevant, and frankly, bringing it into everything is downright weird.
I work with the public face to face on a daily basis. Even though it’s healthcare, I have no need nor interest in anyone’s sexual orientation.
