I honestly blame the TRAs for the shitstorm about this on SM. They are just hellbent on self ID and blind acceptance of anyone who says they are a woman they have hijacked the whole thing. Same as they do with EVERYTHING else as well (Pride, EDI initiatives, etc etc). They couldn’t care less about harm to actual women like Carini, Hamori or even what this attention must be like for the DSD athletes themselves (even if they are being disingenuous they’ve still been sold a lie, had bogus careers and are facing public humiliation or possibly worse if some commenters are to be believed). Instead of getting to the point that women’s sports should be female only with NO exceptions we are having to do explain like I’m 5 every few hours.

This just came up in conversation and I explained DSDs and somehow I'm still wrong. And the person I had this conversation with is my boyfriend's boss (he brought it up, I have no desire to share my opinion on this generally, I'm bleeping knackered and off work sick already) so I'm automatically wrong for not just sitting back and ignoring it.

Article in the mail today. Colleagues have raised concerns about the “unlawful imposition” of trans ideology on their department and are made to feel like bigots if they object to him flaunting his fetish at work or refuse to wholeheartedly support gender ideology. Indeed! These people are wholly unelected, and in a position to massively influence government policy. They should not have such an untouchable position of power they can compel others to unquestioningly accept their beliefs and act as though they don’t even have to observe such basics as dressing appropriately for work.

I wonder if his whole life would have been completely different had those in charge at the time just said

- if it says you’re female on your passport then..
- you were born a girl and “raised a girl” (wore pink) you can compete with women who are utterly at a disadvantage to your male body because we are just so kind we want you to keep thrashing them!

That really was an interesting read. He didn’t get the life he thought he would (and which didn’t feel quite right) but ended up with a fulfilling life in other ways. The differing approach of his Olympic team to the things we are currently seeing is night and day too!
Most of the population would do well to look up the definition of a fetish then prepare to be rightly appalled.

But on the plus it’s gotten my parents and older generation’s attention I feel, they are raging and cannot believe that a man could be allowed fight against women!
So we had a good chat on how separate to this mediocre men are coming into women’s sports and then the women’s spaces. They are full on board with it being bull and it’s great.
