reactions I had to give.
Honestly I can’t believe anyone can look at all those pictures of Khelif and think ‘butch female’. He looks nothing like a butch female. He looks like a man in every way.
I’m devastated to see what Angela has come out with today. I’ve no doubt in my mind she is being pressured by higher ups, most likely men, to do this. Look at the language the IOC used in their statements yesterday to defend these two male boxers. And people wonder why women won’t make a stand? Look what happens when you do. She didn’t even ask for any of this. I presume somewhere down the line it was luck of the draw she ended up having to fight a man.
And if anyone is sitting here still unsure whether Khelif is male or female - if there is any doubt, why should a woman be put at risk of serious injury or death just because we feel sorry for an individual we are unsure about? If there is any uncertainty, he/she should be suspended from competing until it can be proven scientifically one way or another.
Why is even basic safeguarding of women’s safety being put aside for the benefit of one or two individuals? Hurt feelings should never override physical safety.
