Who exactly is harming Transwomen in male spaces?
Could we see the statistics please?

As has been said many, many times on this thread, the only people that trans identified men seem to think that they're in mortal danger from, is other men.
Which makes this a male problem. It is affecting men, it's men that are moaning about it, and so it is for men to sort out. Why should women have to move over and "make space" for mentally unwell men, or even for men who think that they actually are women, despite apparently being in perfect mental health?

Quite apart from any safeguarding risks, what really annoys me about "making space" in toilet facilities for TIM's is that the space is always taken from us, it's never men's toilets that get changed into "Gender Neutral" spaces.
I can guarantee that every single woman on this thread, has spent time queuing to use a public toilet at some point. Stations, theatres, nightclubs, even shopping centres, there is ALWAYS a queue for a women's toilet. We don't want bloody men in the queue too!

What's the solution to trans people getting safe spaces? Don't give a fuck, sorry. The safeguarding of women and girls supersedes a bloke in a dress wanting to use the women's changing rooms. Being kind and respectful of pronouns has gotten us into this sorry fucking mess. It's Gilead in the 21st century and there is no nuance or debate for me. If you were born male you can get the fuck out of women's spaces no matter how genuine you are in your intentions. This is a men rights' movement. Look who the main proponents are:

You're coming across as a little aggressive tbh. I was simply using cis (as much as I don't like the term) simply to denote the difference, like many others do in this thread.

I'm not necessarily in agreement with transwomen being in female spaces but I also get the impression from this thread almost feels like there's an assumption that all transwomen are predators and I don't think that's right either.

Do the non-trans identified men in your life feel we are calling them predators by wanting them out of our spaces too?

I don’t think many of our dads, husbands, boyfriends, friends etc are predators but I don’t want them in our spaces either.

It’s called safeguarding and also just general respect for the privacy of women (and also vice versa for men). We don’t know who the predators are so we safeguard by keeping all men out so women have a space they know can be free of men.

Is it really too much to ask?

I keep reading that trans people are a vulnerable group. Can anyone explain why trans people think they are vulnerable, if we ignore the obvious mental health aspect. From what I've seen most of them are angry misogynists in dresses.

On a more ridiculous note, part of my job is to review patient treatment plans with their assigned clinicians and one particular case involved a patient who was NB (yawn) . When referring to the patient my colleague kept getting frustrated and saying 'she sai- UGH no I mean 'they...'. It must've happened about a dozen times in a 5 min period, to which the clinician then just ended up reverting to the patient's name instead for the remainder of the conversation. At one point my colleague stopped and apologised (I assume he had no idea my standpoint on all this), to which I just said 'it doesn't matter, just continue'. We only get so much time to review 20+ patients and a large amount of this was wasted on the mental gymnastics around sodding pronouns. It made absolutely no difference to the patient's care or treatment plan. I hope this madness stops soon as it's spilling into my line of work more and more pervasively.

Sorry for dumping in here- a lesbian GC lurker. It’s been a long slow road to becoming GC and I have to say my wife and I still become unstuck at times.

Anyway, sport is my thing and as you can imagine it’s getting me riled most of the time. It’s the world indoor athletics championships this weekend and I’ve just read about a nb USA athlete who is breaking all the female 1500 records. She’s (they - is assigned female at birth) a lulu ambassador and is very pro LGBTQ+, praising commentators when they use the correct pronouns etc. So here’s the thing. This athlete loves breaking the records, loves winning, loves beating everyone else at women’s track events. If Nikki is that concerned with being non binary then why is she so happy with winning events in a category that she doesn’t identify with.

My wife is too tired to answer. I’m just so lost. I love sport, I was looking forward to watching this after work tomorrow but now I feel it’s tainted.

I think we're talking at cross purposes. I'm not saying about them being attacked in male spaces, I'm talking about in the open world so to speak.

Trans identified males are far, far less likely to be attacked in the "open world", than actual women are. Despite what you may have been told, actual violent crimes against trans people really aren't that common. They're always yelling about the trans "genocide", but until poor Brianna, there wasn't a single trans murder in the UK for years. Compare and contrast to the average 100 women killed (almost always by men) in the UK...every single year.
I think we all know who needs protection. And it isn't men pretending to be women!

I think there are probably a lot of trans people who just go about their lives, probably trying to fit in and some might be ‘stealth’ and never mention being trans (some trans men pass quite well, trans women, less so). The ones who claim that trans people are the most vulnerable and marginalised are the TRAs and their “allies”. Who are usually straight, mostly white women we like to call handmaidens or bearded woke bros who love that they get to abuse women online under the guise of being a TRA. They are just happy they don’t have to hide their misogyny if it’s directed at gender critical women. I’d go as far to say they get a wee s*xual thrill from it.

They ignore the fact that women are, and always have been, the most vulnerable group on earth, no matter how far women’s rights have come. We are second class citizens. Add to that if you are a disabled woman, a women of colour and/or faith ,even more so.

Its funny to me that you can go from being the biggest oppressor (and most privileged) in society - a white man to the ‘most marginalised’ in society all by saying those magic words ‘man, I feel like a woman’.

Pity the women of Iran and Afghanistan can’t identify out of their marginalised position in life quite as easily (meaning, they can’t at all).

To go into the theory of gender and how , it is absolutely a social construct and moves on a spectrum from ‘masculine’ activities, preferences and appearance (blue, buzz cuts, construction jobs, big trucks, heavy metal, football) to ‘feminine’ preferences, activities and appearance (pink, long hair, Taylor swift, dolls, ballet).

These have been generated in western society through years of societal expectations placed on men and women which forced people to all think and feel the same which harmed men and women, the patriarchy, submission of women, toxic masculinity.

A realistic person will understand that most people are a mix of all preferences and activities and you can’t ’pink or blue’ people.

Sex is a binary, you are a man or a woman.

Gender ideology conflates the two and posits that if someone has preferences the different side of the accepted gender spectrum, it changes their sex as well. It absolutely does not.
Instead of going backwards and saying that boys who like playing with dolls are actually girls, we should widen the expectation of boys to be able to play with whatever they like. We have done this with girls to an extent, peaking in the 90s but now if you like monster trucks you are actually a boy. No, girls can like trucks and heavy metal and wear short hair (all heavy metal men as you know wear it long)

Not even getting into gender non conformity and how it can often reflect homosexuality. KD Lang, Boy George etc

Non binary people just want to feel special, or want to opt out of the inevitable sexualisation of young women that goes on, or wants to wear dungarees or ties, or a suit to work with flat shoes without being questioned. It’s really not that deep.

Young girls are identifying as boys becuase of deep unhappiness with their bodies at puberty and to avoid unwanted male attention. It is self harm to the nth degree.

Young men are increasingly online, addicted to widely available sissy porn and developing fetishes that they are women.

AGP men are exiting their closets in droves and flaunting their fetishes in public.

this thing is a hydra, we are fighting do many different causes that have led to this.

Being a woman is about being submissive????? What a horrendous and outrageous thing to say. That just implies to me that the author thinks that women should be seen as second class citizens dominated by and obeying men!
I have never in my life wanted to be remotely submissive, nor would I want my female friends or mothers or daughters to be seen as submissive! I think women should have equal rights and equality with men, not be a apendage or property of a man!

Women are seen and treated as second class submissive citizens by far too many people and societies for me to accept this as a valid definition for being a woman.
