So the police and the Ministry of Justice have confirmed that Scarlet Blake's crimes have been and will continue to be logged as having been committed by a woman. The police say that they record the gender of the person when they are arrested and brought into custody and this is the record that the courts and the Justice system then use.

It would be funny if it wasn't so serious. What is the point of statistics if they aren't based on cold hard facts? What if a black person insisted that they identify as white or vice-versa? Would that lie be recorded as a fact?

What is the rationale behind ignoring the facts here? You know, up until very recently, even on this forum, I have been for the most part 'respecting people's pronouns. But this is the problem that others have spoken about. People are 'respecting' this man's choice of pronouns and this leads to a lie being perpetuated. If the police had recorded the facts and not the delusion, this wouldn't have happened. Using wrong pronouns really is the thin edge of the wedge.

When we look at children and say things like, "She's a girly girl." What we mean is that that particular child is performing femininity to its most stereotypical standard i.e., liking pink, playing with dolls, wearing dresses.

You say you are not a stereotypical woman, but all you have to do to be a woman is be born female. That's it. The majority of women I know enjoy a mix of things and preferences that may be seen as either masculine or feminine, it's nothing new nor particularly groundbreaking. It is the reason, however, that some young women now see themselves as an enigma, and want to undergo double mastectomies as a result of not fitting into man-made stereotypes. I do feel Gen Z and Alpha missed the memo of, "You are special, just like everyone else." and ran with the you are special part.

Men who think they are women, are cherry picking all the things they like about femininity, not being female. I've yet to see a trans-identified male take up less space, agree to take a pay cut, take on the burden of domestic chores in the home and the other drudgery that's foisted on women. They don't want that part of female socialisation.

This has made me so angry.

In particular the part about using birth name on exams/certificates.

I’m a long-term foster carer for a teenage girl who is desperate to distance herself from her mother’s surname. It’s very distinctive/unusual and reminds her of things she wants to forget. She uses our surname everywhere else, but school have stated it’s not allowed and she must use her birth surname there.

So they can bend the rules for trans kids, but not for traumatised children who want a fresh start?? Right-o

I'm not making a political statement at all but I'd love to see a more equal society, where the vulnerable have the protections they need and people succeed on merit. Our society is so polarised these days. On on hand we are quick to cancel and outraged at the slightest thing then, on the other, we have people like Trump who can appear to do no wrong.

As a middle aged woman, whenever I speak up about women's rights I'm met with women claiming I'm full of hate, a 'Karen' or somehow obsessed with trans people. People don't seem to stop and wonder if I maybe have a point. Change can happen quickly or it can be incremental. Other than occasional blips of hope, I fear for our future. As a wiser woman than I said 'not all women are feminists but all women benefit from feminism.'

I'd never really given much thought to surrogacy until recently, I think I always (naively)thought it was a selfless thing to do for couples who were desperate for a child. The more I read about it the more you can see how little esteem mothers are held in by some. Then you have this pair who want one as an accessory

Botox is transphobic. I just got back from having my lips topped up and had a look at Botox prices. It is £50.00 more for men because they need more. I said to the beautician “ what if a man in a dress comes in saying he’s a woman and you are discriminating” she lsaid “ it will happen but he will still have to pay because I will have to use more” Biology is always there no matter how they/thems and their pink haired acolytes try to deny it exists.

Quite apart from any safeguarding risks, what really annoys me about "making space" in toilet facilities for TIM's is that the space is always taken from us, it's never men's toilets that get changed into "Gender Neutral" spaces.

And on a related note, why is it that when John decides he is Jane, and arrives into his workplace in a dress and makeup, he has to use the women's toilets? Why is there danger to him in continuing to use the men's toilets that he used up to now?

If Dave and Giles and Pete with whom he shared toilet facilities up to now are suddenly a danger to him, why are they not told to BE KIND ... It's a puzzler isn't it - #notreally

I had my days of extremely heavy periods, and all that goes with it, and the thought of young girls in schools, for example, trying to cope in what are effectively mixed sex toilets, makes me so so angry, and turns my stomach over and back.

I think we're talking at cross purposes. I'm not saying about them being attacked in male spaces, I'm talking about in the open world so to speak.

Transwomen don't want their own safe space. They want the Women's loos and safe spaces. That's what they want.
I don't want a 14 Yr old girl , uncomfortable & on her natural biological time of the month, stomach ache etc. having to use facilities where there is a Man with a cock standing next to her at the sinks , or having a dump or pissing into the toilet pan in the next cubicle to her. Hanging around..... looking at her. Talking to her, making her uncomfortable.
Why can't people understand this?

And stop using cis terminology if you are talking about Women.
Women is the correct English terminology for a Woman. A female Human Being. There's no other word .

I was assigned a birth date in the 80s but i’m letting you know now that I am actually 25. Please don’t dead-age me. This is my true authentic self and I feel so much better now I’ve come out as the age I should have been.

If you mis-age me then please know I will shout about your bigotry all over X. You must validate my feelings and telling me I’m anything other than 25 is literal violence.

Anyone showing age-phobia will be reported to the police for literally inflicting such hatred on to me.

Surrogacy is disgusting whether it's straight or gay couples. It is used as a form of trafficking and exploitation in poorer countries, and, as usual, the Mother is the bottom of the rank in terms of what happens. Taking a newborn from a woman who has just birthed them is EXTREMELY cruel for both Mother and baby, irrespective of how willing a participant the Mother was. People using surrogates are fucking disgusting IMVHO.

I'm just so tired of the broad brush strokes to label everything as transphobic. Countless times it's been shown to be genuine concerns, not isolated cases cherrypicked.

Society will continue to go backwards while people are so hardlined and refuse to accept anything outside of the echo chamber the social media algorithm purposely feeds them.

I stick to tattle mainly but the amount of people who throw a strop and want comments that doesn't fit their personal viewpoint is deleted is quite something. That's not the answer, and sorry for a post not really saying anything!

The thing that you have to remember is that Jonathan Willoughby was a no mark regional news presenter who would have faded into obscurity by now if he hadn’t become a ‘trans woman’. I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone on this thread. It makes me feel less alone when I see there are other women that feel the same way about the state we're now in as I do.

I am SO upset that the despicable MAN who committed the most hateful, cruel crime to a defenseless animal is being classed as a woman. I hope he is subject to equal torture in the MALE prison HE serves HIS sentence in.
