The line from one of the breastfeeding articles that got me was ‘transgender women getting to breastfeed their baby can be a very gender affirming experience’ - this was a quote from a lactation group.
Just so much to unpack here. As someone who has breasted I just cannot get my head around this. For actual women, REAL women, breastfeeding can be a fuckin nightmare. It nearly broke me. I’ve never experienced MH issues as bad as during that time. I was losing my mind. Hormones, sleep deprivation, the RESPONSIBILITY OF KEEPING A HUMAN ALIVE WHEN YOU ARE ON YOUR KNEES, the pain, oh my god, the pain!! Do you think for one second I or any mum going through it is thinking about their gender? Do you think we are able to think of ANYTHING except that baby and its survival? It’s hard wired in us to protect and feed that baby. It is primal.
Not to mention the years, decades, of painful periods which includes painful breasts which is what your body is meant to be doing. All that so that when you have a baby you can feed it. And afterwards, your boobs are never the same. Mines are huge and a total hindrance. But when they are really annoying me I think at least they had a purpose once. They fed my child.
To think TW can just pop some oestrogen pills and think they can provide the same nourishment, and for it to be in any way the same thing a woman’s body has been preparing for her whole life, makes me feel a rage I can’t explain. It’s not the same and the nhs need to publish the real research (not that it should be needed!!). Because it’s a fuckin insult to every woman on this planet. It’s like Lia Thomas winning gold in every race. It’s the worst kind of male entitlement. And the fact people - women! - are pandering to them, I just cannot stomach it.

A member of my team has just messaged from the toilets, to ask if she can go home as she's in the office an unexpectedly got her period and leaked through her clothes. (Millennial manager here and I obviously offered her my office cardigan to cover up on her way home and to message someone to pack up her desk for her so she hasn't got to go back in to the office.)

What I love about Martina is that she got told on twitter by a TRA cyclist (Rachel McKinnon), that she didn't know what she was talking about, and she should go away and educate herself. So Martina went quiet on the whole issue for a few months, did her research, and when she came back, she was raging and hasn't stopped fighting for women and girls in sport ever since.

And today in the real world, in Vienna in a single day 3 women stabbed to death in a brothel (assailant found hiding in toilet with a knife) and a woman and her daughter murdered by the husband. The authorities are using the word femicide and calling for an end to the staggering levels of violence against women. There you have it fucking Himdia Willoughby, Sadiq Khan, pweirdo Tatchell, Emily cheating Bridges - THIS is the reality of actually being female in today’s fucked up world. Not burly blokes in shitty drag outfits cowering in corners afraid of the scary TERFS. So so angry.

An acquaintance of mine’s (neurodivergent) daughter is at Goldsmiths. I knew she would be vulnerable to the cult. When I saw her (the mother) over Christmas, she told me her daughter had been in a lesbian relationship and the girl had been really horrible to her, criticising her looks, gaslighting her and trying to manipulate her. I was chomping at the bit when she said the ‘girl’ was also trans (ie a male). And apparently when another member of the family ‘misgendered’ this person, other family members rallied against them (the misgenderer) and refused to entertain the fact that the ‘girlfriend’ wasn’t a girl.
I couldn’t stop myself and went into a full-on spiel about how women and girls are being erased and harmed by the trans movement, how are language is being policed etc etc. This was in front of a group of 6 other women whom I have known for several years, yet have never shown my TERF tendencies to. To my surprise, they all agreed with me, a couple of them strongly (although a couple were also #be kind). I am speaking up more and more now and if people don’t agree, that’s their prerogative.

I love JK Rowling. What a woman. I’ve been reading her Robert Galbraith novels and I absolutely love them. I went on Goodreads to rate them and the reviews are full of people openly saying they haven’t read the book but are rating her 1 star because she’s “transphobic”!!!!! Well I reported them all and sent an email to Goodreads about why they are displaying false reviews

I'm over 60 and now pretty much invisible.
I hate it because nobody is interested in anything I say or do anymore.
I work for a useless much younger middle manager promoted way above his capabilities. I question some of his decisions, make suggestions on how things could be done better and he ignores me.
A few months later he'll make my suggestion to one of his superiors and get praised. My ideas are obviously only worth something when they come out of the mouth of a man.
My long work experience and general knowledge counts for nothing.
Fuck them all.

Women are told not to drink alcohol while breastfeeding feeding as the negligible amounts that can enter the breast milk are considered a risk but a man can feed a baby a concoction of bodily fluids and drugs, with unknown effects on the baby, and it's totally fine. This isn't about putting a baby's best interests first, it's about centering the man and affirming their dysphoria and fetish. My heart breaks for these poor innocent babies.

I remember reading somewhere that evolution meant that men, being stronger and faster, were the hunter-gatherers, and so their brains have evolved to be able to scan the horizon for prey, and for predators. (Probably why they can spot a braless woman from 500m away, but can't find the butter in the fridge, even when it's right in front of them
) Women, who bear the offspring, have brains which have evolved to scan their immediate surroundings, in order to watch their children, and to protect them from danger close by. That's why we can notice things in our peripherial vision, unlike Suecee's husband, whose brain just isn't wired that way. No matter how much the TIM's go on about "feeling like a woman", they really have no idea. Women are (physically) the weaker sex, we are literally born to recognise the danger that bigger, stronger animals pose to us. I see this reaction every single day in the babies that are brought into my clinic, they will go quiet and still when I lean over them on the bench, they will stay silent in the face of imminent danger, it's such a basic instinct, which is hardwired into almost everyone. TIM's bleat about feeling "unsafe" when they use a men's toilet with other men there, they're just insulting our intelligence, they don't understand the real, visceral fear that women feel in the presence of some men.

So much love and respect for Martina. She hasn't ever backed down or 'apologised' for her stance. Anyone with a working brain could see the massive 7 inch gap in those stats and know something was off!
Failed male athletes is the best way to describe these men, I hope that hits them right where it fucking hurts.
