I’m on here for a bit of a rant. Have posted a similar but slightly different rant on LGB thread as well! Currently on a teams meeting in my role as a trade union steward. A talk about 2024 being the year of the LGBT+ worker, it was ALL about trans & NB, not a mention of the LGB! Have had to switch my camera off so my face doesn’t give anything away! I daren’t say anything as I would instantly be accused of transphobia and probably booted out but am so annoyed! Why are people ignoring the LGB as if they have no issues in the workplace in favour of a tiny (but seemingly ever growing) minority of very vocal people who act as if nobody else is more important? I don’t consider myself transphobic (TRA’s would strongly disagree!), am happy to use preferred pronouns and whatever name you go by. I just don’t want biological males in women only spaces and don’t want anyone automatically gender affirming children! I accept people as I find them and quite frankly you can wear what you want (reserving the right to take the piss out of ridiculous clothes but that’s based on the clothes and my views not the person wearing them 😉) but I am really struggling to accept that ‘trans rights’ are being demanded as being more important than others as that’s what it looks/sounds like to me. One thing that I heard and was really glad my camera and mic were both off cos I couldn’t help shouting ‘fuck right off’ - a proposal to remove gendered seats on the national committee. The union currently has female seats, some male seats and also general seats (which can be held by males or females) and was initially set to ensure females would be on an important committee (the union is about 2/3rds female). It’s apparently to allow NB members to feel more comfortable being nominated but to me it’s going to end up with less biological females being represented and it scares/angers me!

I can't remember who posted it the other day - Transwomen are women, but biological women are CIS women. I can't get it out of my head. It's an absolute disgrace. They are literally trying to erase us. Never mind the "trans genocide", what about the biological women genocide?!

Sturgeon has popped up with “the problem isn’t that Brianna’s mother was there but that Sunak is not pretending not to know what women are”, which is about what I would expect from her.

Of course, Owen Jones fully approved.
Wee Nippy can fuck the fuck off.
She can't say what a woman is even when faced with a male rapist.

That Alok one is dangerous. The absolutely hatred dripping off him when he says ‘this older white woman’ like there is nothing worse on this universe. How dare she define her own boundaries!! She’s old! And white! And the worst of all crimes an actual woman! How very DARE she tell this man with his five o'clock shadow he shouldn’t be in the ladies loos!! His rights trump everyone else’s rights! If he’s so afraid of the nasty men in the men’s room why don’t you target men in your videos asking for acceptance when you are in there, eh Alok?? Ah right, because you enjoy making women uncomfortable and it’s women that have to adjust everything they have ever thought, silly nasty women (even worse if they are white and old!). He just leaves the men who will actually beat him to a pulp alone (or maybe not, he looks like he could handle himself, he’s pretty manly under that dress). It’s women that need to change! Got it. I’m so glad male privilege has put us women back in our place!

that poor child!
What did I just watch 😢

A man pretending he's a woman and forcing a newborn baby to latch on to his nipple. The man having a breakdown as he repeats 'I am your mother' to the bay - crying because he's knows it's not true and never will be.

A woman pretending she's a man and complaining about vaginal tearing, stretch marks and being angry at being called the mother.

They won't tell anyone the baby's sex so the state they live in won't issue a birth cert.

You know what... Life is hard enough as it is without creating obstacle and issues for yourself. They need to get some help, get some therapy.

That poor, poor baby.

Was just saying to my husband earlier two teenage boys have been charged with the murder of two boys last weekend. I don't even know the names of the victims. What happened to Brianna was horrific, absolutely gut wrenchingly horrific but teenagers are killing teenagers all the fucking time. Why is this murder deemed to be so much more awful than them? I bet if I asked a random sample of 100 people the name of the 15 year old girl who was stabbed on her way to school last year by a fragile male who had been told no, I reckon about 15 people could tell me. But I bet in excess of 90 of them could name Brianna.
Some lives seem to be worth more than others.
#hernamewasElianneAndam

Edited because I never fucking proofread anything before posting
Elianne Andam was a black girl. The only fuckin time the media care about violence against us is when there is “trans” infront of it

A bit of good news from me. Went to a gynae appointment and it was in the "women's centre". Not one poster on the wall referred to uterus havers or people with a womb. A couple even had support for Women in the title. Added bonus - everyone waiting was clearly of the female sex. Came away feeling supported.

But it’s not to do with Brianna Gheys mum is it. The statement is blanket, I don’t see why we should suddenly start accepting TIM’s in refuges, women’s centres, bathrooms and other female spaces. We can’t ignore the risks because of what has happened. This is exactly how TRA’s have had free run, everyone keeping their fear horror and outrage to themselves because someone might get offended

I don’t recall seeing any male celebrity wearing an “End Violence Against Women” T-shirt or similar.

Another day, another insult to women in Scotland. A domestic violence charity in Dundee is advertising for a women's support worker. It's advertised as a 'female only' position using the exemption in the Equalities Act. But yup, you've guessed it, the ad goes on to say that it is open to applicants who 'identify' as women.

What complete and utter lunacy. How on earth have we got to this stage where a domestic violence charity doesn't see that it is completely failing in its remit to support vulnerable women if it allows men purporting to be women to work in these roles? Madness.

I was out and about today with my young daughter and we got lunch in a Cafe where a young man served us. He was clearly a man but looked effeminate and was wearing make up, nails done, 'female' clothes. In my head I was still thinking that if it came to it I should address this person as 'they' for risk of being impolite. But then my daughter asked me some questions about 'that man' and I thought, you know what, she's saying what she sees and what she sees is right. I swear my kid's smarter than me sometimes :ROFLMAO:.

I see no issue with her chosen campaign (even if what she’s asking for is probably not realistic) and I know a lot of bereaved parents end up taking on a cause or fundraising in something related to the child they lost. She isn’t the first to appear on bbc news or go to parliament following a tragedy.

It angers me though that because Brianna was ‘transgender’ that this somehow elevated Brianna as a victim and the families grief above anyone else that has been murdered.

We can’t criticise anything anyone else in parliament has said in the presence of other family of victims (of any crime or incident) because we wouldn’t have a bloody clue about it.

When Keir Starmer and co are harping on about the rights of transgender people and how transphobic it is to want to keep men out of women’s spaces, do they consider how many women are present in parliament that have been raped or sexually abused?

The only reason this is headline news is because it was a comment about ‘defining a woman’ which is seen as ‘deeply transphobic’ and because the family of a murdered ‘transgender’ person was nearby. This would never have happened under any other circumstances. It’s trans lobbying and silencing at its finest.

You may recall that in December, Kemi Badenoch clashed with Kate Osborne on the Women and Equalities Committee when the latter, somewhat hysterically, accused Kemi of likening young people coming out as transgender to be a disease (note Kemi didn't - she called it an epidemic). Well, Kemi has brought the receipts as young people would say. She's sent in evidence showing just how much the number of trans identifying children has increased. She also referenced various studies which indicate that many young people are convinced that they are transgender when they are actually gay.

I think that this is something that we've discussed on here before. She makes the point that children may act in a non-gender conforming manner before they are old enough to realise that they are attracted to the same-sex. I suppose the opposite can also occur, that a child who realises that they are attracted to the same-sex, might still think that they are transgender because of social contagion.

She says that this situation could be likened to conversion therapy for gay children in relation to their gender whilst the issue is actually their sexual orientation. The studies show that a large number of older children being treated as trans are in fact same-sex attracted.

It's a fascinating area of study and goes to show just how dangerous it is to rush into medicalising young people who are undergoing a range of developmental changes.

My brother is furious, apparently Parkrun (not sure if just UK) are doing away with gender stats, age stats and rankings.
Many parkrunners love the stats side, and my mum also runs it (late 50s, found running last year and loves going parkrun). Mum likes to know she was the 49th place for women for example, when she began she was 200th etc, but now she will not know anything other than her time. My brother loves to geek out on stats and has a spreadsheet going of all his rankings, PBs etc, so now he'll only have timings and PBs. All because of inclusivity, 99.99% of runners now lose fun stats because 0.0000000001% of TRAs have hurty feelings.

I don't run, but I am annoyed this is yet another example where stuff that suits and pleases and helps the many, is taken away because of the few. Those finishers rankings, age category rankings, gender rankings can help motivate many runners. My mum likes to see she has improved. Whereas if seeing your ranking is triggering, don't read the stats! It's that simple but yet another organisation has to go woke.

The amount of revision surgeries I’ve seen mentioned by people on YouTube who’ve undergone initial surgery is pretty high. A lot of them aren’t just aren’t happy with the original outcome.

Jamie Raines’s mum who has also appeared on the YouTube channel is a professor of molecular biology and is full-on TRA in her Twitter feed. It’s very concerning that a person with such a solid grounding in biology is promoting trans ideology. God know what she teaches her students.

There is a video by Helen Joyce about how parents who have supported/funded mutilating their children are the biggest flag wavers for medical intervention. Because otherwise they have to admit to themselves and the world that they have sterilised and ruined their children in the name of an ideology when they would have been better off paying for good mental health support and turning off the internet.
