The person in the reddit post has wound separation which is a surgery complication. It might heal or it might get worse. Always risk of infections.

This explains the whole thing better, but the images are very graphic and of real patients.

Thank you for this - these pictures should be on billboards everywhere.

I did have a page of "successful" phalloplasties bookmarked which I used to educate horrify people, but I had a software outrage a few months back and lost it. This is a very useful resource.

Why don't those people stuck in wheelchairs just identify as able-bodied, for heavens' sake?
it is massively offensive to say people are born in the wrong bodies, compared to meaning men wanting to wear skirts and be acknowledged as women, compared to people with physical disabilities they would desperately beg to get rid of (not saying you’re saying that, but the general notion from others parroting this phrase “people are born in wrong bodies” is awful IMO)

Queer theory, yet again, telling us what it’s really about, i.e. dismantling every boundary that protects kids from adult sexuality and sexual abuse.

You disgusting mats!

Get in your own changing rooms!

There is a huge amount of lip service paid to safeguarding*, and then we are presented with naked men flaunting their genitals and it's ok because they are 'women" - well stick that up your pipe!

*I say "lip service" because I have to go on safeguarding courts every three years, as does every official in out church, and at great expense. These courses are becoming more and more exacting with greater and greater warnings and advice etc. Andthen in the next breath it's "Oh you needn't worry about HER,; SHE'S a WOMAN, so that's alright" And this is even in the church!

I know women who have refused to continue as Brownie and Guide leaders, because they will not take the responsibility of protecting the girls, who are now in dormitories with "girls", and no-onewill listen to their fears and concerns.

Nobody is "born in the wrong body" - we might wish we had a different, or "better" body, but we have the one we have. If we are lucky, we can love it, but if we can't love it, we should at least respect it and care for it as best we can - it has to last us a lifetime.

I know when I was younger I was the plain child in a very beautiful family (still am!) - even my paternal grandmother used to say "I don't know what happened with you - the rest of us are good-looking". At the time, I would have given ANYTHING to have had my sisters' looks and wonderful figures, instead of being an "weird freak" who could body double for Olive Oyl!

However I learned to accept what I was and make the best of who I was, and now I wouldn't change anything. It made me the person I am, and got me the lovely husband and children I have.

When I was younger I would have definitely been tempted by, perhaps even drawn into, this cult. It would have been too late for me by the time I learned that there was nothing wrong with me the way I was.

In any other situation minus the magic TRANS sticker.

Any adult exposing themselves to children should be on a sex offenders register.

Anyone else see the report by channel 4 news of discrimination/abuse on elderly gays in care?
Before the report ended, it featured a 69 year old man in a care home who had declared he was trans, the female care manager was shown applying his make up, curling his long blonde wig and helping him choose which dress to wear (pink froth, sleeveless, plunging neckline...of course!). Still looked like a man with his five o'clock shadow, heavy jaw and very prominent nose.
Lost count the number of times the reporter uttered "LGBTQ++++++++".

It’s that simple.

Also, let’s tell it like it is: this isn’t about letting boys see adult women naked in case they spot a naked TIF in a men’s changing room, this is about desensitising little girls to the sight of pen so they don’t freak out at a naked TIM in a women’s changing room.

That is the literal definition of grooming 🚩

Yep that’s the one - I can’t find it to post

This one I think

although a bit confused by the headline (byline?) - I thought Andrew Neil had commented on this issue quite a bit previously? Or was that someone else?

Yep. They absolutely SHOULD be freaking out at the sight of a pen in the women’s changing room because that is NOT NORMAL OR OK. 😡😡😡

Penguin books were throwing out tweets xeets this weekend about one of their brand new books for kids with a front cover of a woman with mastectomy scars** with an upflifting title. *EDIT: depicting a trans man. This is all insidious and is coming from all angles, constantly. And the UK is considered as one of the countries fighting back. I can’t imagine other countries where this has taken a more severe stranglehold.

Much more accurate - and actually sickening to look at. Mutilated bodies are sickening to look at, and people don't know because they don't see them.
Looks like the sort of hideous and barbaric experiments Josef Mengele carried out. 🤢🤢🤢

I liked the image as it is more realistic.

There's a gender critical doctor on twitter who has been posting what a phalloplasty actually looks like. Gruesome and no way will that ever look or function like a real pen.

There's also this on Reddit:

OK, I just Googled phalloplasty and there are numerous images available, all blurred until you click on "view image". How utterly appalling and grotesque. How anyone could willingly do that to themselves beggars belief. The image of the arm where the tissue is harvested from is like something out of a horror movie.

Oh my goodness. How dare anyone gloss over this as “bottom surgery”. I am a nurse with experience of many types of surgery/wounds- including neurosurgery “face off” procedures and oncology (dressing deep fungating tumour/wounds) but I’ve never seen anything as horrific as this. I can’t believe this is ethical to put a body through this. And I looked at the Reddit link shared on here- the complications are so scary and with apparently no standard aftercare. I’m shocked.

Anyone would think it wasn't possible to change important physical features and capabilities just by pretend- . . . .Oh - Hang on a moment . . . . 🤔
Haha I've been saying this for years! We disabled just don't have the flair for branding that the AGPs do. Why didn't we think of saying we were born in the wrong body? Maybe institutions would actually give a tit about us.
