Gender Discussion #108

Any Waitrose customers who have seen the exciting news that the 'we love our female customers men with fetishes' logos are coming back on their app next month, I absolutely do not suggest getting the free crappy red tote bag on your online/collect in store order before the voucher expires, then saying you don't want it because of poor quality/other branding that is not clear in the picture etc., resulting in a £6 refund from their automated system.

In the Waitrose thread someone suggested donating the bag to a food bank (apparently they need bags, which never occurred to me before), but obviously not everyone will be able to do this.

PSA: receiving something for 'free' does not affect your statutory rights!

I had this email from Unison on Tuesday, I'm guessing the irony is somewhat lost on them.

I don't know who Andrea Egan is, but I'd like to think there are TERFs in Unison fighting from within. Women are entitled to women's rights and workers rights, and all the misogynistic male dinosaurs* will happily unite with the TIMs to steal it all away from us.

*Apologies to actual dinosaurs, because they're obviously TERFs.

Yes, if you have extra shopping bags take them to a food bank or a charity shop. There's always someone who forgot their bag or doesn't have one.

Attention-seeking Scottish Green MSP, ‘Q’, has been in the public eye for less than two seconds and he’s already started a campaign to break the law around ‘gender’. He’s referred to the guidance as ‘actively harmful’
‘“If you are my constituent and you were feeling any kind of distress whatsoever, and if you need access to resources, please let me know. We are working on all regards, because this guidance is not only harmful for trans people, but actively harmful for women and for people across genders, who would be soon questioned for not conforming to a gender stereotype. We do know we can. We take care of one another."’

Rhetorical question but why is he carrying on like this when he's not a naturalised citizen?
He's supposed to be studying, not bleeping around. Creepy man.

it's already on the app. I'm going to complain but I'm not deleting the app,
I'm just going to avail myself of their free coffee every single day and not spend any money with them for the whole month.
It's quite handy because I've got a savings account where I put the cost of a coffee in there for every time I get a free one from Waitrose instead of purchasing one so my garden makeover account will benefit.

Well, as a woman who lives in Lothian region, he might just be hearing very soon all about the distress I am feeling. Careful what you wish for, Q my man.

If I could give you my free coffee entitlement I would! 😄 I order from them because the fresh food lasts longer (I'm consuming at single person speed), they still have use-by dates, and the delivery service is good.

Are there even any supermarkets left that don't do Trans Pride? I ditched Sainsbury's because I'm not contributing to Stephen 'CSA victims should just get over it' Fry's PR salary.

I think a lot of them are dialing down on it now. I just resent the fact it's polluting my phone. I should have the option of reverting back to the normal Waitrose logo as I don't subscribe to gender woo.

Doesn't the app have a help function where you can ask how to do it?!

Here's Ed Davey reminding us once again that he's more concerned about prioritising men's feelings than women's rights. Ridiculous letter from him full of the usual tropes and ignorant ramblings of the trans ideology.

He also completely misunderstands the purpose of the guidance and I'm not sure what longstanding British values he thinks the EHRC should be protecting? Did I perhaps miss the enshrined right of men to pretend to be women in the Magna Carta?🙄 What a clown.

@Notworthy You could try changing the icon theme set in your phone's general settings (on mine it's under 'colours'). I have an option that makes them all monochrome (I've just realised that's why my icon hasn't changed, despite the update).

I keep seeing pictures of that bloke AB Hernandez who takes women's podium places and he stands like an ickle girl with his tootsies pointing inwards and it reminded me of something and I think it's Mabel Lucie Atwell and - for example - the Bashful Boo Boo

For comparison here he is

Every politican who makes a statement like this should be asked if they think the Darlington nurses should have been required to share a changing room with "Rose".

Why is it only one groups dignity that matters to these people?

These imbeciles think that ‘It’s in your own best interests to allow men in dresses to validate their fetish in the ladies’ toilets. Innocent women will suffer if you don’t” is such a clever gotcha, don’t they? 🙄

It’s not as if women haven’t spent their entire lives listening to men trying to talk them into tolerating and participating in things they don’t want to do, is it?
