Or black and white minstrels? Why is one celebrated and the other (rightly) seen as insulting and degrading?
For the same reason that Rachel Dolzeal is lambasted as a heinous disgrace, but Bob from accounts is lauded for his stunning bravery when he turns up to work in a polyester babydoll dress and a cheap wig.

I think I might start a gender around ventriloquism. I’m going to dress as a man but have a male dummy that I’ve put in a dress and a wig, so it’ll be kind of ‘fluid’ in every way possible.

We're seeing it now - measles is just regarded as having a few spots - people don't realise that it can be a killer! Or can leave a child blind or deaf. And though chicken pox isn't usually dangerous to otherwise healthy children, it can be deadly to anyone with a weakened immune system. I'm in my 70s and knew classmates crippled by polio.
Same. In 1984 I worked with someone whose husband was crippled by polio, the couple were only in their late twenties.

I LOATHE drag and the fact it’s seen as above criticism. It’s womanface, pure and simple and I can’t see any reason why it’s any less offensive than, say, The Black And White Minstrels or It Ain’t Half Hot Mum. Said it before I but I also loathe clowns and I see drag queens in much the same way, grotesque parodies of humans, someone hiding behind a facade. It’s also usually pretty crude in a disparaging way about women.
In this world of inclusivity (allegedly) I find it awful that we’re told what to think, and what to like. That’s not very inclusive is it. Plus, it only seems to take men’s feelings into account.

Not to disparage the appearance/looks of a child or teenager but this seems to be a trend with children who have a glamorous celebrity mother...

Jennifer Lopez
Cynthia Nixon
Cher
Jamie Lee Curtis
Naomi Watts
Charlize Theron
Annette Bening
Sade
Sigourney Weaver
Michelle Visage
Trudie Styler
Mel B
Toukie Smith

There seems to be a certain type of mum, famous or not, desperate for a trans child. It is so bleeping weird. What could possibly cause that desire in a parent? Especially one who is not even part of the LGBT+ community themselves.

Not to mention Ben Affleck’s first wife, Jennifer Garner, mother of his trans-identifying daughter, ‘Fin’. What a coincidence that both Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have trans-identifying daughters 🤔

That Sophie Wilson bloke is in an over 40s fashion group I was part of on Facebook. He constantly posted his vulgar outfits, parading his fetish while the handmaidens lapped it up. He posted a photo without his Bet Lynch wig once and he looked like a nasty thug.
They all look like Mrs potato head. The only decent looking trans women tend to be the Thai ladyboys or the tiny Asian men. Doesn’t help when you have some lumbering bloke claiming to be a woman with their bow legged stance. Flouncing around in the twirly skirts and kitten geels

This is what I find so odd about drag queens being vaunted as evidence of ‘inclusivity’. It’s purely a performance genre 🤷‍♀️
Yep, drag queens are no more representative of the LGB community than burlesque dancers are representative of women.
It's really odd.
Oh and libraries: if you want to show the normality of LGB people, you don't need to get drag queens in to read stories to little kids (because on what planet is an adult entertainer an appropriate role model? You don't get strippers in to do it and there'd rightly be a bit of a hoo-hah if you did) Why not invite Billy's two mums to come in and read? Or John the fireman who also happens to be gay? They'd probably do it for free and you can save some of your budget to put on free teas and coffees for lonely older people one day a week. True inclusion is really bleeping easy and you don't need a fuckton of glitter to do it.

Lots don’t seem to have particularly present fathers either.

Oh look, the “literal genicide” klaxon:

‘The performer said the Patagonia trademark lawsuit amounted to its CEO Ryan Gellert and other executives deciding that "I must cease to exist".’

How does a legal obligation to not market your performance persona under branding that infringes someone else’s copyrighted intellectual property mean that you ‘must cease to exist’?
Oh to be so bleeping stupid 🤦‍♀️
The poor sweetie probably thought it was "cease to exist" when in fact he was told to "cease and desist"

Anette Benning said she became 'more interesting' because she has a trans child.

I think the worst is Charlize Theron who adopted two black children and then transed the little boy. How mixed up is that child going to be in later life?

Charlize gave me the ick with her social media stuff about trans. It's was not about fair treatment, safety etc, she was acting like a sycophant.

True, and even then there's usually a tell. I saw one at the shopping centre the other day. Small-ish, thin Asian guy, looked quite pretty and feminine. But I suspected immediately because he was wearing a choker. As he got closer, the slightly too wide shoulders and slightly overdone makeup confirmed it.

If he hadn't been wearing the choker, I may well not have noticed. But as it was, I clocked him at like 20 meters away. I bet he thought he passed so well!

(And bonus, it made me feel better about (briefly) mistaking a (I presume) soft butch lesbian for a delicately featured young man earlier the same day) 🤣
