Blackpool Labour MPs telling their constituents exactly where they stand (and it isn’t with women)

View attachment 4005157
Blackpool is one of the most deprived areas in England. There are several neighbourhoods in the area that consistently rank among the Top 10 deprived areas in the country. 40% of kids in the area live in poverty, and the population suffer high rates of serious mental illness, alcohol related deaths and significantly reduced life expectancy.
And this, this is what the local MPs are spending their time on?!? duck me. Sometimes I feel like I live on another bleeping planet.

I was listening to a podcast I generally really like yesterday and they had a special guest on talking about Jeremy Bamber who is in prison for murdering members of his family and the context was that hes recently been refused permission to talk to journalists. Its a podcast that talks about the law so it was mostly about whether putting this restriction on him was legal. One of the guests said something that made me skip back to make sure I hadn't misheard, he claimed that it was unlikely that Bamber had committed the murders because he had never done anything previously and people don't just murder someone out of nowhere. I was amazed, how often do we hear when someone commits an awful crime what a nice person they were and a good neighbour etc.

I think humans vastly overestimate their ability to read other people. I think the Traitors is such a great example of this, we are not good interpreters of other peoples actions or intentions especially when they want to deceive us.
And everybody has to do a first murder win order to do a second or third, don't they? They may seem "nice" outside the family, but there are many men who are monsters when they close the door behind them when they get home.

Look at the family annihilators out there. They are sweetness and light until they murder their wives and children (and sometimes themselves, the cowardly guys).

THERE HAS TO BE A FIRST ONE.

🇮🇪

10 years ago in Ireland, a primary school teacher murdred his wife and 3 children and then took his own life - it was planned. The first reports referred to him as a pillar of the community, casting him as a victim. He was buried with his victims - later, after a campaign, disinterred and buried at sea

"Expressing concern over the way elements of the media had concentrated on Hawe’s career, his sporting prowess and his voluntary work as treasurer at the local Gaelic sports club, Martin said: “In terms of domestic violence, people have stereotypes of the victim and the perpetrator. There is a disconnect between an act like this and someone who is seen as a pillar of community, who is well liked or seen as respectable."

That's it! Shut up and go home everyone. Little bald squirt here says that people have looked at studies so we needn't worry any more.
What a tit.

I pop in and out of the current thread cos I’m still making my way through all the previous ones. I’m on #73 at the moment. I wish there was a way we could all meet and discuss in person, this is the only place I see multiple opinions the same as mine.

Quoting myself but what I will say is the 4 people in my life who share my views are all men - my Dad, my husband, my straight friend and my gay friend.

Oh FFs. I'm in Unison (not really in a position to leave and join elsewhere unfortunately). I wonder if I can set up a throw away email address and email anonymously?
You should. If you google ‘burner email’, you should get several options. I set up my X account using a burner address.

Dawn French 🤢. She was so close to getting it at one point, but was obviously ‘re-educated’ back into place. Now she’s just a bot

‘Help us actively oppose the law by showing that its non-viable, despite it having been a law that worked perfectly well, and was recognised by pretty much every sentient human, until a few years ago, whereupon it suddenly became indefinably ‘unworkable’’ 🙄

I was going to post the same thing myself.

That hideous grin; the smug, self-satisfied expression; the patronising attitude; she sheer arrogance of her.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I used to enjoy her work - and now I can't even watch the Vicar of Dibley any more because she sickens me so much. I can't stand the sight or sound of her.

I have said this before on another thread but my sis met Dawn French at work. who was an absolute snotty pleb. She used the fatal line, DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?! Rude and undermining to people who she sees as ‘below’ her. Feck off, Dawn and feck off even further, with this odious little video. It is the equivalent of patting someone on their head; patronising crap, with a white knight twist. Don’t worry, fellas, Dawn has spoken and she isn’t here for women’s rights! 😬🤪
