Crossdressing is considered to be trans under the stonewall umbrella. Also this never happens

barrister for Quinn, with Ms Maddie Grant BL and instructed by solicitor Mr Conor Moylan, said his client has a previously “exemplary” background.

And the common denominator in all of these cases is the 'exemplary background' of the offenders - i.e. they were pillars of society until they were caught or some poor victim was brave enouigh to report them. It's so annoying that this excuse is always put forward in an attempt for leniency.

pillars of society until they were caught

Exactly!

And they worked hard to be seen as "pillars of society" because that gave them status, authority, a large and trusting adult support network, access to vulnerable victims and plausible deniability if any of the children they abused said anything.

Most of us common-or-garden non-PDfiles wouldn't come under the soubriquet "pillars of society".. Most probably we could be best described as "mostly harmless" (if I may borrow from Douglas Adams). We have other things to do instead of working towards becoming a "pillar of society". You need to put time and effort into building a reputation like that.

Now I know that not all "pillars of society" are vile, fetishistic child abusers - but when they are they are certainly aided and abetted by their good reputations in the community. It's like the DBS - all it means is that they haven't been caught yet.

This is an excellent article talking about how the fixation on toilets is a distraction from the other more important reasons why women fight for single-sex spaces.

Blackpool Labour MPs telling their constituents exactly where they stand (and it isn’t with women)

Thanks for posting. A great read, I'm going to bookmark it for future reference

I now assume all men are selfish drains unless proven otherwise. A decent proportion of those are predators or would be given the opportunity too. Leaves few decent ones but I really think that’s the key to a safe and peaceful life.

John Wayne Gacy was a pillar of the community and he killed 33 kids. Not that i'm equating murdering children with being trans. It's just a mask that falls off to show the real person.
Thinking a bit more about this. Growing up I was told to be professional in my work, dress smartly, do your work to the best of your ability and not necessarily be best buddies with your colleagues. Now it's bring your authentic self to work, and live your best life. Is this how it's permeated society.

When is the time for women to live free and peaceful lives, and not be scrutinised at every turn? Sure AF don't feel like it now, never have. Nevertheless, I just bleeping get on with it.
That's what we've always done, it's a tale as old as time. Men do what they want and we get no recognition, no concern, just the same tit constantly.

I honestly think that a lot of these deviant men are prepared to play the long game. There are high profile examples such as Thomas Hamilton, the Dublane shooter, and of course a certain cigar chomping DJ. They cultivated an image to get access to victims while being seen as good people- leading the scouts or raising money for charities. OK I know that mass murder of children is extreme, and I’m not making a comparison in deeds, but what I am saying is that a lot of these sexual perverts are prepared to wait until they’ve got to where they want to be in society before they act out their depravity.
It doesn’t matter what their previous background was. They know full well what they’re doing.
Hope that makes sense.

I was listening to a podcast I generally really like yesterday and they had a special guest on talking about Jeremy Bamber who is in prison for murdering members of his family and the context was that hes recently been refused permission to talk to journalists. Its a podcast that talks about the law so it was mostly about whether putting this restriction on him was legal. One of the guests said something that made me skip back to make sure I hadn't misheard, he claimed that it was unlikely that Bamber had committed the murders because he had never done anything previously and people don't just murder someone out of nowhere. I was amazed, how often do we hear when someone commits an awful crime what a nice person they were and a good neighbour etc.

I think humans vastly overestimate their ability to read other people. I think the Traitors is such a great example of this, we are not good interpreters of other peoples actions or intentions especially when they want to deceive us.

I knew it would be California before I even read on.

In other news Sunderland City Council, led by Reform, have removed the Pride flag and replaced it with a St George Cross.
