Honestly, Bridget Philipson must have a hide of leather to continue with her procrastination and dithering in the face of continuing public condemnation and excoriating criticism. It's almost sociopathic to be able to blithely ignore the outcry just to further her personal ambition.
I listened to Wes Streeting on Women's Hour yesterday. He was on mainly to talk about the new gynaecology health strategy (gynae waiting lists have increased disproportionately since 2022 😡) but he was asked about when the single sex guidance would be published. He said it would be May after the elections. When asked about the delay he said it was because of trans men and they needed to find ways for them to be accommodated say in hospital wards. It felt to me like TIFs (ie women) were being used as scapegoats for the delay

Everything is always a woman's fault.

Like anyone believes that.

They have sat on the Supreme Court ruling for over a year now, they could of sorted this mess out long ago - but decided to do nothing as not to upset the minority element.

Philipson is more interested in her career prospects than doing the right thing. The rest of the Labour Party and civil service are totally captured.

Even if the guidance is eventually put into law, expect an almighty pushback by various parties, including a sizable number in Labour ranks.

I've said this many times before. Labour DO NOT give a stuff about biological women. For them to claim they do is now laughable. Their repeated actions in no way match what they say to the contrary.

From the bible and beyond. Eve, the foul temptress, forced the hapless Adam to eat from the Tree of Knowledge. Nobody ever says they were both at fault.
First rule of misogyny: women are responsible for what men do

Didn't Bridget Philipson say a few months ago that it was all crystal clear and organisations shouldn't need to wait for the guidance etc.
Would love to know how that squares with we don't know what to do about trans men in hospitals.

I don't believe any of it for a second, they just don't want to do any of this and are trying desperately to find a way to put it on the long finger. If the FWS case had gone the other way and said no single sex spaces, I can guarantee you the guidance would have been out very quickly

I firmly believe that they had a statement prepared ready for the roll out. They didn't realise that SC judges weren't just there because they looked pretty in red.

Article in the Times about the number of women’s charities continuing to break the law by extending their services to TIMs, despite their female-only remit.

I’ve seen activity meetings described as “women only” and then go on to state that’s it’s open to women and anyone who identifies as one. Well, it’s not women only if it includes men ffs. I’d rather take part in things open to everyone, than one that encourages some weird AGP to indulge his fetish knowing he’ll be alone with a group of women.

The Government enacts what it wants without hesitation, and delays what it doesn't want to enact.

It is very clear the Government have desperately tried to delay enacting the SC ruling as it doesn't fit with their narrative.

However, it is a very sad state of affairs when the Government, Police, NHS and other public bodies are openly flouting the legal ruling from the highest court in the land.

How can the Police - for example - demand that people follow the law, when they aren't.

They are in breach of the law by failing to enact the SC ruling for their colleagues and being unduly lenient when dealing with Trans suspects.

Their 'two tier' approach is also more than evident when it comes to protests. With the pro-Trans protests being lightly policed and a blind eye turned to high provocative amd threatening language.

At 'TERF' protests, the opposite, with the likes of KJK having been arrested in the past, and more recently being told to leave a Women's Day event for causing 'offence'.

But there is a simple solution in hospital ...put them in a individual room! We all know they exist, they are often used for infection control for example! Or leave them in the corridor, or put them in a storage cupboard.

Its a ridiculous argument. Yes the NHS is in a state, but accomodating trans people shouldnt be their highest priority when there are easy solutions

Weird ass relationship anyway. God the creator (smacks of Dr Frankenstein, can see where Mary Shelley derived her inspiration from - Adam was the name of his creation too), creating everything omni potent & present but didn’t see Eve eating the apple - yeah right. Just a story to justify the subjugation of women in my eyes. Religion for me is all about social control.
