I didn't know about this; I'm not a million miles away from Houghton le Spring, but I'm not free this afternoon otherwise I'd have mosied along
I think the point was that most media outlets have an agenda, so there's no such thing as an unskewed news source (the BBC's relentless drive to canvass the opinion of a random drag queen in any human interest story being a case in in point)
I’ll take pretty much anyone supporting women’s rights over trans ideology. Anything to get more people on board and anything that brings us closer to repealing the GRA. GB News can crack on.
It’s not just about gender ideology for me. Like it or not GB news have talked more about issues like grooming gangs than other news sources - whether you think that is because they’ve got an agenda is irrelevant, because other news sources and local authorities had an agenda too. And it wasn’t the protection of women and girls, that’s for sure. I don’t have to agree with everything they report on in order to acknowledge that fact.
I've just thought of a genuine reason for lumping MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+ together - they're all driven by a bunch of men who really hate women.

Had to go into Newcastle today and fancied a coffee. Found a nice little coffee shop and was just about to enter but noticed a sticker on the door - a toilet in trans colours with the trans symbol. Refused to go in and they lost custom (only about £20 but in this climate you'd think every penny would count to an independent business). Thing is, it was only a small place and I bet they only had - and have only ever had - a single toilet for all customers. They didn't have to pick a side in the trans debate. They could've taken money from TRAs and TERFs but they made it clear they'd rather advertise their Good People Principles and lost a sale.
I wonder up and down the country how many little decisions to not spend money in places are made every day. It's one thing for Marks and Spencer or John Lewis - their profits are massive but for small independents it must make a difference to many of them staying afloat. bleeping madness

Local elections: checked out who is standing as a candidate in my area. I voted for the Independent last time however he defected to Reform last year.

I'm always on the lookout for somewhere decent for coffee/lunch in Newcastle (especially since the closure of The Magic Hat), and I don't want to accidentally arrange to meet someone there then see the sticker when it's too late ...

I mentioned previously that I did a bus tour (Viking Splash) in Dublin some years ago. A tourist attraction mostly I guess, but I like doing some of those things from time to time. Anyway, great fun. Mix of men and women, young and not so young. Not that it matters, but anyway.
Not too long afterwards I was walking by where the buses leave from and there was the bleeping trans flag, a big sticker, right by the door, couldn't miss it, while boarding. My immediate thought when I see that is - oh right, so women aren't welcome then, right?
As for the need to have the rotten thing there, it is a scenario where you pay your money, and hop aboard. There's no interaction with others, there's no toilets - heaven forbid - aboard. There's no way for the oh so brave, so marginalised to be made in any way afraid, during the few hours on the bus.
So why the need for such a stupid stance! If it had been there the day I did it, I would have had to go ahead because I had brought some of my nieces and nephews with me. But FFS.
I have zero issue naming them, they don't want our bigotty dollars so I'd hate for them to accidentally get them. Jesy is on counterpressed which is the podcast I mentioned being totally captured and despite being women’s football focused is also heavy on TWAW which I don’t find fits at all.
I have no idea who made the acronym TWAW up a man no doubt but I think it confuses them and us (haha) it should have been TWAM then maybe more folk will not be confused. I hope these women in prison that have problems with men in the female population sue the justice system

Proving she, like Starmer is not fit to be PM. I want a brave PM that will make decisions, not some scaredy cat cowering in the corner for fear of upsetting the wrong people. note the wrong people are not the bulk of the population but invariably some minority group.
